Joshua Ang’s Fan Club:

Firstly, a very happy birthday to RBKD! Congrats for turning 2! I’m sure there will be much more birthday celebrations coming up as time goes by! It’s really nice to be able to be friends of RBKD. Even though
the idols that we’re supporting are different, but I personally feel that it’s good to be able to make friend with other fan clubs. Everyone gathered together to have fun while waiting and at the same time
making more friends is a good thing after all.

I still remember during Star Awards, we helped to cheer for each other idol. This actually makes the situation livelier comparing to own fan club cheering for their own idol. And also queuing for the Unriddle event at SMU was really fun too.

These are nice and fun experience that we experience together and I feel that it will be a wonderful memory as time goes by.

Lastly, I wished RBKD all the best and may everything goes well for you guys!

Cheers! =)

It doesn’t matter how old we are or how many birthdays we have celebrated together, the only thing that matters in here is, we remain as one.

Sometimes we forget, sometimes we tend to neglect, sometimes we don’t remember, sometimes we don’t get to be there. But all these texts, videos and photographs, they prolong the existence of our shared memories.

Because we will forever be ONE RBKD, like the title of this blog; weareone: our second chapter, it’s been worthwhile :)

What: YOUTHphoria 2010

When: 30 October 2010

Where: Singapore Discovery Centre

Yanling, Overall In-charge:

I guess this is the first time we have so many people going to RE’s event together! With about 50 participants altogether from our side, (Y)!

As a big group, it was pretty hard to assemble and organize everyone. Therefore the coordinator of the day, Joyce, has really done a good job in helping out with that. *clap clap* Thanks a lot for that! (:

Somehow time always passes quickly every time she is on stage. Even though we were there for about 6hours before her performance, but that 30minutes of her feels faster than our waiting time. Being able to see her coincidentally at the walkway made me feel really “Awww~~”

Joyce, Coordinator:

Reached cityhall to meet the rest and off we set off to youthphoria event in the shuttle bus! i didnt do a lot of interaction on bus cause i PURELY WANT TO STONE. LOL. i got a hard time opening my pathetic lollipop. thanks celest! she opened it for me! HAAH.

Long after the ride, we’ve reached. met 147 (yanling) and got the tickets from her and moved in for the games, goodies etc etc! Played the Shooting game! Learning to be HU XIAO MAN is not easy, the small pistol can already weigh like an penguin! It was so heavy! And I only shot like 3 targets out of “don’t-know-how-many”. Went off to play and see other games and goodies. Went to catch show! OMG. Worst show ever, its like what Zilei had mention, pure action scene and no storyline. Decided to move out upon the second movie. HAHA. Went to had early dinner and carry on with other games and activities!

EVENT time- went out to entrance at around 5.55pm with 147 to meet the rest of the rbkd people, marked attendance and gave out entrance tickets, brought them in and seated them according to the planned seating arrangement. after all performances, the long awaited idol appeared! everyone shouted as usual. She sang 2 songs, QINGWA and BAISEYUMAO. okay la, everyone was snapping and video-ing but im just purely holding onto my board and sway and enjoy her performance. HAHA. so yes, im the 100% enjoying her performance person! HAHA.

After she sang BAISEYUBAO, i wanted to do something that leaves her an impact and impression of us in youthphoria event! SO i ask them to shout “RUI EN, WE LOVE YOU!” and of course the one and only replied back with “I LOVE YOU TOO” hee. so sweet right? ahya, tell you all here also no use! See videos bah! it was so successful! im so proud of rbkd! willing to work and cooperate together to achieve this! :D

AND AS USUAL, she’s stunning! no use writing too much too, look at pictures k? (:

enjoyed the event and day! although it was tiring but its worth it for the idol! right everyone? kekeke!

What: Seven.Zero.Eight

When: 7 August 2010

Where: Signature Park

Phyllis, Deputy Project Director:

Maybe for the first time, the attendance rate of the new members for members events were higher than the senior members!

Since the members were relatively unfamiliar with people around them , it was kinda awkward at the beginning for everyone. So we started with our usual (3+1) introduction method to get things started !

But the climax was when we played ‘Double Whacko’ !!!! Even the quieter ones started to get enthusiastic and the atmosphere was definitely better :) You have seen their faces when they called out their own partner (double whacko rule: to be paired up w another person in the inner circle, a.k.a your partner) ! Hahahaha, certainly worth remembering :)

Then it was time for ‘Don’t forget the lyrics’! They were certainly all hyped up when they were trying to make up their group name…. we had names like hypy (Hanyu Pinyin) etc.Hahahaha. Many of them were dying to use their phone dictionaries to check out the chinese character they didn’t know how to write! :P But they still tried their best and it was really a commendable effort :)

Well 天 下无不散之宴席, (all good things must come to an end) it was time to go and i am sure most of them had fun and got to know each other better! :)

Casslyn, Participant:

Seven.Zero.Eight was the first IPC I’ve joined despite being in the forum for almost one year, and it took a great deal of courage for me to meet up with the other members. It was certainly comforting to know that many of the members there were also as new as I was to the fan club; we were all there to make new friends :D

We introduced ourselves by choosing 3 of the questions given to us to answer. That helped me to learn a little bit more about the others, although I still couldn’t really remember their names well. I also had a whale of a time playing double whacko. Double whacko is indeed thrilling, with our hearts palpitating erratically whenever our names are called. A wave of guilt surged through me whenever I did not manage to call out another person’s name in time, but all of us know that nobody really minded or blamed anybody(:

“Don’t Forget Her Lyrics” is also unforgettable. I was in the ‘hanyupinyin’ group, and as our group name suggests, whenever the other teams get stuck at a chinese character, we will fill it up for them and earn the points instead. I must admit that my level of chinese doesn’t seem to be good enough for all those chim chinese words, hence all the credits are given to my awesome groupmates :D

We ended the day with taking photos and I believe that all of us had fun posing for them :D Looking forward to joining more IPCs in the future!

Celest, Participant:

I suggested having a fanclub gathering with all the members so as to allow new members like me to get to know the old and new members. I am glad that my suggestions has been taken into consideration and because of that, the SevenZeroEight was organised. It was a new experience for me joining a fanclub and reaching out of my comfort zone to meet people whom I don’t know in the first place but all like Rui En at the same time.

I enjoyed myself very much during the gathering, especially being involved in the “wacko” and “Don’t forget her lyrics” game. The “wacko” game was very effective in helping me to remember the names of the members and the “Don’t forget her lyrics” made me feel excited because I like to listen and sing Rui En’s songs. But I think it would be better if more older members have turned up for the event coz the majority are new members. I hope that this kind of gathering can be organized annually for members to mingle around and have fun.

Junqi, Participant:

It was kind of awkward at first because of the many unfamiliar faces around. However in the next hour or so, we slowly opened up to one another and started having real fun. Personally, I really like the ice breaker games. Not only did it lighten the atmosphere, but also fuelled interaction between the members.

All in all, it was a fun get together event, and I’m sure all of us had a great time. So kudos to the organizers! Looking forward to similar events in future (:

Xinyi, Participant:

Like what Phyllis said, this was our first club event with the new members outnumbering the senior ones. For so many of them, this was the first time they stepped out of their comfort zone (now these people are our regulars in IPC :P ).

This event was originally slated for 31st July, but it was such an auspicious date that it clashed with Unriddle’s event at Settlers. Yes, imagine the frenzy when we solved the first clue and realised that the events clashes! :O

Anyway, back to the event. It was really nice Shirley and I could take a back seat and act as mentors to our excellent organising team. Their “Double Whacko” proved to be so popular that it is now a must-have ice-breaker in RBKD. I’m glad I gave this event the green light :)

What: Badminton @ Khatib

When: 16 October 2010

Where: Yishun Sports Hall

Participant(s): Celest, Mandy, Isabel, Isabelle, Eunice Zee, Jiayi, Charmaine, Jiamin, Bengyan, Yunxian, Krystal, Berlin, Eunice Ng, Kah Yin, Elaine, Zi Lei, Hui Ping, Ser Chee.

Alberton, Organiser:

This is my 1st time organising a Badminton IPC and I am glad that all of them turn up. As I only booked 2 courts for 1 hour each, I decided to split them up into 4 per group and play the match with 21 points system and rotating new players to come in to play after each match has ended. To my surprise, Kah Yin played extremely well despite having a height disadvantage when playing against taller opponents.

After the match has ended, we walk all the way from Yishun Sports Hall to Northpoint for our dinner. Along the way, we started to chit chat with the senior and new members. We ended the IPC with another group photo just outside the food court. I hope that everyone has truly enjoyed this IPC and my apology for not being able to book more courts for the 2 hours period.

Mandy, Ordinary Member:

Tbh, i thought it would be rather awkward cos i didn’t know anyone there yet (except for the fact that i know Berlin), but surprisingly it wasn’t all that awkward! Everyone were friendly in one way or another and i really liked that smile.

The badminton part was fun, even tho the court rules are so confusing!!

Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon with everyone who went, i had fun! It feels great meeting and knowing new people smile. Thanks Alberton for organizing this IPC!

Yunxian:

Badminton ipc was really fun. This is the second IPC event i went to. Got to know many friendly people through this event too. Many were good in playing badminton, and everything. Everyone was like, entertaining one another, making each other laugh, etc. I enjoyed myself alot during the few hours. Bonding session was nice as well. (:

Charmaine, Ordinary Member:

Today is my 3rd time attending an IPC event, it was quite fun as there was quite a big group of people. As the previous 2 IPC that I went for did not have that many people.

After the two hours were up, we walked to North Point to eat. It was quite a long walk but we had fun chatting on the way to have our dinner. After our dinner, we had another group photo. We wanted to stay on and have more bonding activities however, there was no space available for playing games. And thus we had to end our IPC, but it was really fun and we got to meet more people and make more friends.

Bengyan, Ordinary Member:

First time joining a badminton IPC and it was fun.
Get to meet lots of newbies and members-to-be.
We took turns to play in the court and managed to sweat alot.haha
Really have fun bonding with some of them.
And we really looked like having a class excursion with this whole big group of people.
Hope there’s more to come =)

What: Bowling @ Marina II

When: 10 October 2010

Where: Marina Square

Participant(s): Alberton, BengYan, Candy, Charmaine, Eunice, Sarita, SerChee

Wyman, Organiser, Priority Member:

Okay I’m gonna start with a really cliché opening: This is the first time I’m organizing an IPC activity and I’m really glad that things went fine without any glitches. Oh wait, there were glitches. Our lanes were always jamming up, luckily we solved them eventually. (Bonus throws? Lol.) Everything else was great!

SerChee and BengYan played so well it’s as if they have bowling lanes at home for practice. Oh. I must mention BengYan’s remote controlled bowling skills. It’s amazing how she always can accurately strike down ONE remaining bowling pin. O.O

To be honest, I’d organised this simply because I wanted to bowl. It just suddenly hit me that I could organize an IPC for this and ta-da :D

Alberton, Ordinary Member:

It was an enjoyable and memorable day today, although it is my 1st time learning how to play bowling. I still can remember how I fall down on the bowling track during my 1st attempt, didn’t know that the floor is so oily and slippery. The experience was great, later during lunch at Pasta de Waraku, we interacted with each other and get to know each other more =)

Ser Chee, Ordinary Member:

Nope, no one dropped their ball. As usual, ‘Drain-washing’ is the norm. But nevertheless, the session was still much enjoyable.

Laughters filled the air, and that’s what makes the bowling session interesting, isn’t it.. And I have to say the ‘practice’ session during the JB trip was really helpful, esp to Bengyan. The rest will know why. hahaha..

Lunch at Waraku was a nice one too. As the no. of pax was just 8. The size was right. So that makes interaction an easier and engaging one.

A nice 10.10.10 :)

Candy, Participant, Ordinary Member:

Glad that i can make it for today bowling IPC it was fun and exciting
really glad i went !! :) Will remember the purple colour ball no 8 is our team lucky ball.

it was a special date 10.10.10 and even our price was 10 cool !

I hope we will have our bowling ipc soon real soon again ! :)

BengYan, Ordinary Member:

It was a fun experience to have the chance to bond with the fellow RBKD members. Everyone was quite quiet at first. After everyone settle down, we have our own 3+1 introduction and there goes the start of
our bowling ‘competition’. The introduction did help everyone to open up. We played 2 games and our team did quite well. Haha =)

After bowling, we proceed to have our lunch at Waraku. This is the time where we can really sit down and chit-chat to know more about each other. We then have our photo-taking after lunch and this is definitely a good chance to know more of the fellow members.

P.S.: The JB trip really did help us warm up on our bowling skills =)
