Though its the first time that I am organizing an IPC, I am glad that everything was fine and I am sure all of us had fun. Despite the bad weather, our spirits weren’t dampen because we played games like heart attack and concentration! I bet the people at the shelter opposite us must be wondering why are we so hyped up! Hahaha. I am very glad that even through simple games like these we still can have fun together. Well I think because when RBKD members are together, the fun never ends :)

What: Study Group 09 (Maths)
When: 26th June 2010
Where: Marina Square Level One Subway
Participant(s): Huiping, Junqi, Victoria, Elaine, Rachael, Jonah, Michelle,
kahyin, Jean, Zi lei, Naomi, Joyce

Rachael, Participant, New-Member-to-be:
This is the second IPC I have attended. I do not know most of the participants, except Elaine, KahYin, Joyce and Zi Lei. Everyone was focusing on their own revision.
I am able to concentrate on my revision much easier as no one would disturb me. Also, I got to know a few more members.
—
Junqi, Participant, Ordinary Member:
The study group ipc not only provide a platform for members to interact, but an opportunity to clear our doubts in certain subjects.
Being the first time I’m meeting many of the participants, I found it rather awkward to strike up a conversation. In addition, the fact that we were seated at different tables also resulted in minimal interaction between us.
Nonetheless, the study group has been a fruitful one since I managed to get quite a bit of work done. Hopefully I will be able to join in the lunch session and really get to know the other participants the next time round (:
—
Jonah, Participant, Ordinary Member:
What i feel about the self-study was beneficial to students doing subjects, as well as revising for exam. The self study IPC is also a good chance to bond with each other within RBKD club member.
So in summary, this IPC is friendly and useful for me as i really sit down without distraction from laptop or computer.

What: Study Group 08 (Science)

Participant(s): Lionel, Jean, Jolie, Naomi, Michelle and Yan Ning

Michelle, Participant, Priority Member:
The last time we had a study group was back in August 2009. Although we had fewer members this time round, the IPC went on smoothly. Lionel was very helpful, whenever we had questions that we are unsure of, he would assist us. Everyone was focusing on their own revision and you can sense their concentration.
I would like to thank Lionel for his help in clearing our doubts in science especially with Physics. Looking forward to more of such study groups.

Miaoting, Jiamin & Vyvyan, Organizers, Priority Members:
It is the first time we are organizing an IPC for the members but we were glad that the whole activity ran on smoothly. The number of participants were more than we initially expected but fortunately, our concern of over-crowding on the court was not much of a worry on that day as everyone got their chance to play. The turnout consists of quite a number of members-to-be and they hit off pretty well during the game and quite a few even acquired some playing skills from members who were trained in badminton.
We are very thankful for the very enthusiastic members and hope for more activities to come.

Joyce, Participant, New Member-to-be:
It’s been an awesome day for RBKD’s friends to go for badminton! First time, im “expose” to many members on the day and i felt really *shy* (haha, okay, im not shy) BUT of course i love making friends, so i did managed to make new friends! and get to know the k-box IPC friends more. The badminton game was like so fun! managed to sweat! HAHA! and it’s really great to play with RBKD’s bunch of friends and also learnt that they were quite good in that! LOL. After our game, we sat outside to like chit chat and of course we get to know each other deeply (: it was really an awesome day and game with them! yay-ness to RBKD’s group- IPC FOR BADMINTON!

—
Kahyin, Participant. Priority Member:
As a badminton lover and player, I surely enjoyed this IPC especially when I seldom touch my racquet ever since I stepped down from my cca.
Of course at first, the new members who met us for the first time were really shy and quiet. But after we started playing, they managed to open up and talk. Some of us even have funny moves which made us all laugh like mad and further reduce the shyness in the new members. During our water breaks, we also get together and chatted. It was hilarious.
I’m sure everyone had lots of fun playing, laughing and bonding together in that few hours because me, myself had lots of fun! :]
—
Elaine, Participant, New Member-to-be:
It is wonderful being able to join this activity, making new friends and knowing more of RBKD’s members. As I am new, I do not know most of the participants, except KahYin and Joyce.
I enjoyed the activity very much, since I like playing badminton as well.
We also sat outside the hall, and chatted about other stuffs, getting to know each other better.
I truly enjoyed this activity alot, thanks to Joyce for making me laugh my head off everytime (hahahahhaha).

What: K-Session @ Marina Square
When: 10 June 2010
Where: Marina Square
Participant(s): Candice, Zi Lei, Kahyin, Elaine, Racheal and Joyce

Joyce, Coordinator, New Member-to-be:
I had a great day! CONFIRM! I’m a new member of RBKD, and I was anticipating like how am i going to talk to them? you know, questions kept popping out of my mind. There were so many “HOWs, WHATs..” I was so nervous that i reached there pretty early i guessed. LOL.
The overall trip was pretty good, i guessed. I get to interact with other “experienced” RBKD friends. They really made my day! As in they were even friendlier than what i had pictured them in my mind. They try not to let anyone be alone and i believe, they did carry the phrase “we are one”. I’m really glad and proud to be a member of RBKD.
As the coordinator of this IPC, it was rather challenging. Firstly, because im new, i’m not sure whether anyone would join this activity. i’m glad snail helped me with the steps patiently.
Im so so glad that on that day there was Candice to help oversee the whole program! and yes, i enjoyed the whole thing and we had a lot of fun doing things together!
Did anyone mention before Candice and Kahyin seriously make a good pair when coming to singing and producing that kind of “feel?†YES. Certainly! You all should see how Candice sings with that “feel†and kahyin, on the other hand, “answers to her feel!†It was portrayed like a comedy yet enjoyable kind of concert!
Candice started singing a few “high” songs in order to bring the whole ambience out. The 3 of us (zilei, kahyin and me) sway and sang but the 2 younger ones did not have any reaction. Perhaps they are still shy. :D but yea! We managed to get them sing “love story†by Taylor Swift! Hah!
Hopefully the next time they will be familiarized with us and talk more often! *three cheers to k-session! hip hip horray x3* im looking forward to the rest of the IPCs! =)
AHEM, generation gap? HAHA. I don’t hope for that thou! But hope and glad that everyone enjoyed that special few hours!
—
Elaine, Participant, New Member-to-be:
It was a fun experience, having the chance to bond with the fellow members of the group in order to not feel awkward in front of each other in future. The “seniors†were very encouraging and friendly. I did not talk much during the trip as I don’t really understand what they were chatting about. I believe if I have the chance, I would like to attend again. It was an enjoyable trip.

Bak Kwa Fried Rice (without the rice yet).
And we forgot to take pictures of Candice playing Wii. Remind us next time!
Before we sign out, did we mention how Candice played Wii Boxing as though she was playing bowling and Wii Bowling as though she was playing Golf? And not to forget how the white golf ball got further and further away from the small little hole each time Candice swings the console? You know who you want as a partner next time round *winks*

What: Countdown 2010 with Jalan Kayu Prata
When: 31 December 2009 / 1 November 2010
Where: Jalan Kayu
—
Candice, Priority Member:
That day, RBKD had this service called the RBKD shuttle service to Jalan Kayu. Cool Right?! As one of the 2 drivers, I ferried at least 4 to 5 person per trip and I led the way for the other driver since I knew the route well. It was quite fun! We make 2 trips altogether, from Punggol to Jalan Kayu. It was definitely a noisy trip with everyone squeezed into the 2 cars, too excited and high!
—
Xinyi, Club President:
Never mind that our watches/clocks on mobile phones did not synchronise, what matters was, our hearts did and still is.
They say a picture tells a thousand words, so I assume videos would do a better job?
This is how we spent our last hour of 2009: http://RBKD-online.com/fanclub/2010/01/02/ushering-2010-the-rbkd-style/
And do you know how difficult it was to record a video message for Rui En with minimal lighting (at a car park to be exact) and all of us in black tops? Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXSwGGet2FA
