What: Taman Mutiara Mas Grand Opening

When: 26th September 2010

Where: Skudai, Johor, Malaysia

Participant(s): Lydia, Jiamin, Joyce, Xinyi, Serchee, Bengyan, Shirley & Li Yan.

Xinyi:

It was a last minute decision to head up to JB. The rationale was simple enough, we thought it would be a nice gesture and we needed videos anyway. So it was a frantic calling to the various car renting services approx. 48 hours before the event.

We were caught in a small jam on our way there, luckily at the next turn, we saw the event banners with her face on every other lamp post. So she “guided” us to the event venue, thanks! =D

We were kind of surprised to see such a big crowd at the “ulu-ly” located event; and thanks to Lydia, we managed to get a prime spot despite arriving late. Thanks!

It was a little squeezed and it was scorching hot but thumbs-up for the organising, the ones at Singapore can’t be mentioned in the same breath, no where near.

It was a big surprise that she decided to sing 白色羽毛, personally I don’t remember her performing any tracks from her debut album post-Metamorphosis.

She sang 青蛙 next and as usual, she looked EVERYWHERE ELSE except at us, now before you say anything like “What’s new?”, here’s one indeed. When we chanted “希望希望”, she smiled at us in the most appreciative manner.

I really liked that moment, like a mutual understanding that we are always there for each other.

Oh, and “what’s new”? We took our group pic at the middle of the road AGAIN……

Jiamin:

After much effort, we finally got to our destination around 1pm. We took some time to settle down and before RE’s performance, the host asked for 6 volunteers to participate in a game and both Joyce and I volunteered. We got chosen and the start of my agony begins……

The aim of the game was to use the butt to burst as many balloons as possible in a minute. Since I couldn’t really blow nor tie balloons, I will have to burst them!! After the first one was blown, I rushed to the chair and sat on it and it went … POP! And this carried on for the next 3 balloons. Well, our team ended with 4 balloons burst in a minute and it was a tie with the second group. So both groups got our goodie bags :D –I guess I have to agree with the host that my butt is rather有弹性 BUT it hurts!!-

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8fx8hU3Y2Y

Up next was RE’s segment. It started off with a short interview where the host asked about Unriddle, her upcoming show and a few questions such as any characters that she is interested to act if she have the chance and she replied mental patient. After the interview was her singing 2 songs-白色羽毛 &青蛙. I was shocked when she said the first song cause I really din expect to have the chance to hear that song live again. Nonetheless the singing was superb, could see that RE was enjoying herself on stage, grooving to the music.

After that was another game session. This time round 3 volunteers were needed and I went on stage again…….. To me, this game was worse cause it involves acting!!! I was like ‘ ah die, why did I volunteer?! Should have waited for the host to finish saying everything before I raise my hands =.=’ But well, I guess I will only do such things out of Singapore..back in sg我是很 shy de k!! So yup, I got to act as a police:)

Finally, it was an autograph session for selected individuals. After signing and taking photos, RE’s event ended and she left….We stayed for a while before continuing with our post-event activities :D

What: Unriddle’s Event @ Settlers

When: 31st July 2010

Where: Settlers Cafe @ SMU

Xinyi, Number One:

I was the sole passenger on board the train from Dhoby Ghaut to Bras Basah, the clock flashed “6:00am” in red when I stepped out of the train.

Shortly after, a couple of others arrived too. This, despite us not agreeing to meet up beforehand. Telepathy uh?

McBreakfast was the only thing worth rejoicing when it should have been a sleep-in day. With our schooling members busy revising subjects like Economics, Geography, Biology and Mathematics, there was no hint that we were crazy fans taking the first train just for this event.

I’m not sure if this would become a RBKD’s tradition, but again we went down the queue giving out free sweets and snickers, including to non-members.

Compared to tiredness, the most unbearable thing in this event was the presence of the cameras. A cap comes in extremely handy in times like this. Trust me, I’m speaking from experience.

Celest, Number Nineteen:

This could probably be the craziest thing I have even done in my entire life, playing the online unriddle game and queuing up so many hours before the event just to be among the 1st 30 people to be up-closed with Rui En.

By participating in this event, I got to see the RBKD members for my first time as everyone were in black and also managed to get to know another new fanclub member too. However, I did not have any interaction with the rest of the RBKD members who were there and was only able to get a deeper impression of the RBKD members when I went to the SevenZeroEight event.

But above all, I would say that this is definitely an unforgettable experience for me and my dream come true as I took a photo with Rui En.

What: Star Awards Ceremony 2 @ RWS

When: 25 April 2010

Where: Resorts World Singapore

All those cheering, if you were there, you would have known how loud we were. Half of us woke up with no/hoarse voice the next day. The other half? They had lozenges and drank water as though they just completed a marathon in the Sahara. True enough, it was a cheering marathon and the immense satisfaction from screaming alongside people with a common goal is indescribable.

Thank you for giving us a chance to cheer our lungs out for you :)

What: En Route to Star Awards Ceremony 2

When: 25 April 2010

Where: MediaCorp Singapore to Resorts World Singapore

Sorry if we sounded like a group of excited pre-schoolers on their first school’s excursion; when you are in great company, it can be really difficult to contain one’s excitement and things can only get more out of hand with all the sweets and snacks passing around.

And my sincere apologies if you drove past our bus that day to be shocked by the group of us frantically waving our “Rui En” boards at you. The good news is, your heart is still going strong :)

What: Star Awards 2010 Ceremony 1

When: 18 April 2010

Where: MediaCorp Singapore

Candice, Priority Member:

It’s the first Star Awards RBKD had tickets to! We were super excited! 8 of us got so high! By 6.30, we were in the theatre. Artistes were streaming in and we were trying to spot Rui En. After a couple of wrong guesses, approximately 15 minutes before the show was to begin, we saw her walking in and we screamed “Rui En!!!” crazily.

During the show, we kept looking down at where she sat! She was so nice and repeatedly looked up to wave at us throughout the show! I think our screams were the loudest!

After the show, we went to RG. It’s so sweet of her to come out of her car, have a short chat and group photo with us even though she was in the rush. Filming’s on the next morning, poor her.

What: Rui En’s Birthday Gathering 2010

When: 16 January 2010

Where: 7th Storey Restaurant @ Wilkie Edge

Organiser(s): Xinyi and Min Min

Joey, Table 5:

The birthday celebration for Ruien held by our club this year, was yet another amazing and unforgettable event in the RBKD history. On that very Saturday, all of us met up at dhoby ghaut mrt station, and as a big group, we took the sbs bus which suddenly looked like a schoolbus, to the restaurant.

After waiting for actually-I-don’t-know-how-long, ruien appeared! Everyone chua tio-ed and pretend like nothing happened, but actually inside the hearts all shivering, happy like siao right! Strike 4D also not so happy hor!

Did some self-intro thingy, and slowly everyone opened up and started having real fun. Ruien went from table to table to communicate with the different groups, and I’m sure every single person there had some awesome time talking to her. She ended at my table, and whoo, what’s a birthday gathering without cake-cutting? So we sang her the birthday song with our suddenly-so-beautiful voices, she made an awesome wish though I don’t really know what it is, and then cut the cake! It was a beautiful cake, and we have minmin to thank! Had a small photo-taking session at the end, and very soon after, she left. Really hope she enjoyed herself!

A big thank-you to the committees who put so much effort into making this whole gathering a possibility, and of course ruien for taking the time off to attend this. Confirm guarantee plus chop and double bang with insurance and GST7% everyone enjoyed it right?

Xianli, Table 2:

The birthday celebration was great.
When Rui En arrived, i noticed everyone looked at her for a sec, and then back to their foods.
hahah. Maybe we were all like “omg! she come already! how!? how!?”
We did ice breaking activities, and back to food again. hahaha.
While we were eating, Rui En went table to table and have a little chat with us.
If there is another chance to have a little chat with her,
I’d better come out with some questions in advance.
cos all i did was just smiling and nodding, not much talking.

After she went all of the groups, cake cutting time!
whoohoo!~ i <3 the cake! haha! One big smiley. :D Thanks Minmin for the lovely yummy cake~ We sang the birthday song and photo taking time! Snap snap snap! Thank you to the person who invented camera, so that we are able to captured these wonderful memories. I love the "ali baba gostan" part that made her LOL-ed. =D After some time, she left and we left. Thank you to the committees for everything, Thank you Rui En for coming, Thank you Minmin for the lovely cake again, last but not least, thank you to all those who snap non-stop during that day. =) Planting another wonderful memories in my brain cells that i will never kill them. loL~ --- Zilei, Table 5: Totally, absolutely, utterly awesome day for all of us. I was eating when I saw her seated at the table so I elbowed Qiao Zhen that Rui En was there and then she looked around and couldn't see her, and when she saw her she went "OMG." I suddenly realised everybody was eating as though she was not there. No cameras, no permanent markers or anything so we continued eating like everyone else while we were like "OMG OMG OMG IT'S RUI EN!" inside. Heh. Did self-intro and she went to each table to talk to everybody, take pictures and sign autographs etc. while we were eating. And I finally took my first picture with her and I'm still very happy until now. *Smiles widely* After that was cake-cutting (Thanks Minmin for the happy cake!) and group picture. The cake was really delicious and that includes one of the eyes which I ate... Really glad that I could know more about my fellow table-mates (and of course other RBKD-ers through the self-intro). Really really thank the committee for organising it and making it a success and Rui En for attending! I won't forget the newly-added fond memories and of course the skin cells. :>

What: Punggol East Countdown 2010

When: 31 December 2009

Where: Rivervale Crescent

Joey, Priority Member:

Last day of the year, but prolly one of the most awesome days of it. Time spent with RBKD and ruien will always be treasured and never forgotten, like duh! Hahaha.

Reached punggol at around 8 plus plus plus, and saw like many many RBKD humans there, which makes me happy! And I sponsored lozenges, although I’m not the official lozenges provider, but still, yay me! Sometimes we just have to make do with pirated stuffs, HAHA. Oh oh the emcee said smth like ruien was sick and what cannot perform. Make me kanchiong only. What happens when ruien appears? You scream “AHHHHHH!” So she appeared, and we screamed! Everyone went siao over her earrings I remember, heh heh sexy bo! Ling long ling long from one side to the other. She sang kong ping, home and qing wa, and in between, we were screaming like whoah.

And the moment she went off stage, wah chiong ahhhhhhh! Who run faster who win. And somehow, we ended up in the middle of the road. But we took a group picture with her, and pew! In a flash, she disappeared.

Nevertheless, ruien, thank you for spending uh 1/24 of your last day of 2009 with RBKD, and we’re glad to spend it with you! And spending my last few hours of 2009 with RBKD is the best. There’s no place I’d rather be {:

What: Starhub Family Christmas Fair 2009

When: 13 December 2009

Where: Suntec City Convention Level 3 Concourse

Shirley (Committee Member) & Candice (Priority Member):

At first glance, we thought another artiste went on stage instead. Hence, explained the ‘retardness’ in screams…. LOL!. But instead, we all got early x’mas gifts with her wavings & smiles… not forgetting her pinch on a cute little boy who looked SUPER LOST on stage!

It was fate, or rather the lack of, that explains why the Idol & Fans didn’t get to take a group photo. But we’re all glad to know she came back specially to look for us after being ushered off to the car park by the security.

“希望,希望… 缘分的一天~”

P/S: Her smiles were super sweet that day!

What: Nike Human Race 2009

When: 24 October 2009

Where: Singapore F1 Pitstop

Candice, Runner:

Waking up at 4am was such a chore. Cab down to Singapore flyer at 5 plus with xaby, grace and vyvyan. At 7.10am, the race began. We started off well. We split into small groups and run together. We chatted with each other while walking briskly. It a nice weather and not so humid. We felt the accomplishment after combing each kilometre.

At the last 1km, we jog fast and at around 500m, we sprint through the last 500m. The moment I reach the finishing line was to grab drinks. We wait for others to come back and met those who finished. Then Rui En and her manager came to talk to us. Rui En started a funny conversation and said, “You all Okays a not? Your face like want to die like that! ” It was super hilarious! She is rushing off due to filming later on.

We went for early lunch at Marina Square. All runners already got the sians face by the end of lunch! I enjoyed the race! Xaby already thinking of participating again next year!

Phyllis, Coordinator for Supporters:

Waking up at 4am to support my friends and idol for a run is certainly something I have never done before until Nike Human Race 2009.
It was quite tiring and the hot weather didn’t help either.
However i enjoyed watching the runners pass the finishing line and it was great to be there to give them my support!
Plus I realised that organising people together for an event isn’t as easy as it seems.
There is planning and stuff to be done but I enjoyed it and hopefully the other did too!
Even though I am not a runner, but I am glad that I am able to cheer them on and give them my moral support!

What: TrueHearts Show 2009

When: June 2009

Where: Toa Payoh HDB Hub

Yes, you are right! We were there at 6am, although the event commenced only at 7pm.

“Don’t play play”, as long as studies or work ain’t affected, we don’t mind doing crazy things for Rui En.

Someone (we suspect its Hype) gave us 2 cartons of packed rice for dinner and we suggested they offer the Jeaniuses one of the cartons instead :)

And we managed to get ourselves “seen” on TV :D

Presenting to you, the debut of our LR RE boards, each A1 in size.

And I would like to let everyone know how proud I am of these girls.

Picking up litter left behind by the public and fans from other FCs was definitely not necessary or expected of us, but my considerate girls did it anyway.

Never mind that we couldn’t reach the car park in time to wave goodbye to Rui En, at least we did something we knew was right and I’m glad we did it.

Who said that Fan Clubs only know how to scream and cheer?
