RBKD in Penang: Part 3/3

Where: Penang

Participants: Allan, Bi Hui, Candice, Celest, Jiamin, Joanne, Peijun, Phyllis, Shu Pei, Weijen, Xinyi, Yeeling

Jiamin, Secretary:

Not the first time RBKD flies overseas to visit Rui En on set, but this trip was really an impromptu one. 5 days after booking our air tickets + settle accommodation, we departed for our 3D2N to Penang!

Upon touching down, we hopped onto our rented mini-van and RBKD food tour officially begins! Look at the amount of food we managed to cover during our trip, amazing right?

And of course in between our food tour, we had the opportunity to pop over to The Journey: Our Homeland’s filming sites for a total of 3 times. It was great seeing our idol ‘adapting’ well to Penang’s (very hot) weather and I personally enjoyed the little chats we had with her in between her filming breaks. Not to forget the many selfies/welfies taken while waiting

So yup, time flies whenever you’re with good company and having lots of fun. It’s time to bade goodbye to city of cheap and good food – Penang. Shall let the pictures do the talking

Phyllis, Treasurer:

If you were to ask me what’s the thing that I love most about this Penang trip. It would definitely the food! We literally went on a 3D2N eating spree in Penang, filling our stomachs to the brim at the end of each day. It totally did not help when Penang street food is so affordable and wallet friendly. Haha.

Assam Laksa? Yes! Rojak? Yes! Char Kway Teow? Yes! Chendol? Yes! Lok Lok? Yes! Yes! Yes!

As I am typing this, I am starting to think about all these local fare all over again….. Yum!

Well, other than the really good food, the great company made this trip an even better one. Moments like when we hid in the back alley to watch the filming process, ate ice balls along the roadside or running around the beach trying to take pictures with stray dogs were unforgettable. It’s little memories like these that define a RBKD trip.

I am looking forward to another trip to Malaysia! Where we can continue to eat our hearts content and have more fun together.
