Despite the initial disorientation I feel everytime I get a break, I’ve been catching up on my movie-watching.

Each time I watch a good movie, I get this very strange curiousity that’s so hard to articulate. A curiousity to know what happens when there is a break in the 時空。

Let me give you an example, I was rewatching Away From Her, a well-directed and well-acted movie about a man dealing with his wife’s Alzheimer’s. Eventually it got to a point where he had to place her in a nursing home where the policy was that for the first 1 month the patient couldn’t have ny visitors at all to let them get accustomed to staying there. After a few heart-wrenching scenes where the couple had to separate after not being apart for a month over the last 44 years, the husband had to leave. The next time you see him is 1 month later where he goes back to the nursing home excited to see his wife.

I kept wondering, how did he get thru the 1 month? 1 month can be a long time if you love someone deeply. Did he cry everyday? Refuse to get out of bed?

But really, isn’t life actually made up of a papier mache of all those points that normally are edited out of a movie for pacing’s sake? Rather than all the climaxes, high and low points. The strange part is some people spend their lives chasing the climaxes rather than accepting the edited-out parts.

Spoiler alert : BTW, I felt compelled to pass on the message that there will be no death in 微笑. Mainly cos I can understand not wanting to get emotionally invested in a character when you think you already know her destiny. So, no.

18 The Committee was heartened to note that the primetime slot of 7pm, has been occupied by local content since the Taiwanese drama “爱” (“Love”) ended its run. It is glad to see productions such as “甘榜情” (“Kampong Ties”) and “正义武馆” (“Code of Honour”) during this drama slot, which also incorporated Malaysian locations and cast. ACCESS encouraged MediaCorp to be pro-active in looking out for opportunities for overseas collaborations in order to harness resources beyond Singapore.

20 Of the local dramas produced over the past two years, the Committee found the following to be of the best quality: “四个门牌一个梦” (“Love Thy Neighbour”) which explored social issues of concern to Singaporeans; “正义武馆” (“Code of Honour”) for its inspirational storyline and authentic historical setting; and “行医”(“The Oath”) for providing
a balance of viewpoints and exploring ethical dilemmas between from Western medicine and TCM.

Heard about the fan who willed her multi-million dollar fortune to Fann Wong? Just like RBKD isn’t a K-pop band and Jeanius isn’t a typo, there’s a lot more to local fan clubs that you probably didn’t know about.

4. Joining a fan club is like going back to school

Do you miss those fun orientation games you played as a freshman? Join a fan club, then. RBKD, Rui En’s formidable fan club, held an orientation ‘camp’ for its members and potential members at Sentosa in June. The full-day event saw over 60 Rui En-fanatics run amok on the island, play games that included an Amazing Race-inspired scavenger hunt, and put up skits related to Rui En and RBKD. Rui En was not there.

“This idea started two years ago when we realised that our members weren’t familiar with one another,” explains club president Peh Xinyi, 25. “It’s also a good way for potential members to learn about RBKD,” she adds. But if you think taking part in the orientation gets you a free pass into the club, think again. You have to make at least 30 relevant posts about Rui En on the club’s online forum before your membership is “approved”. RBKD, set up four years ago, currently has 111 members. “It’s not easy to join RBKD,” Xinyi warns us. “Only constructive comments count, and we have a moderator to look through the posts every month,” she adds sternly. The rules may be very stringent – it’s probably easier to apply for a housing loan – but it fits perfectly with Rui En’s no-nonsense attitude.

BRAVO to the thrilling new drama Poetic Justice (weeknights, Ch 8) revolving around the lives of a group of ambitious TV journos played by Rui En, Dai Yangtian and Rebecca Lim. While its depiction of how they go about gathering news is a tad too sensationalised to be taken seriously, it’s a minor gripe that’s quickly forgotten and forgiven, considering how fast-paced the story is. The cast’s spirited on-screen rapport helps, too.

例如：剧组人员个个都是超级咖喱菲，走进走出扮护士扮路人都难不倒他们。就连监制袁树伟也有情客串，古董店外扮路过的旅客，结果…很抢戏的背影惹得瑞恩忍不住NG爆笑，“他很爱演咯！”

又例如：妈阁前曾诗梅、瑞恩等人走来走去，多名强国游客不约而同特地询问剧名以便回国上网观看……

瑞恩与戴阳天，戏份最多当然命最苦。

最惨的莫过于得在烈日下跑个不停、逛街聊天，扮出一脸sweet样。汗水不由自主涌出，瑞恩独门妙招竟是：用手抓起马尾透风！

一有空便一起在车上片刻补眠，现实生活中一冷一热向左走向右走的两人，难得如此有默契。

必须澄清的是，看似颇有噱头的“床上戏”，其实不过就戴阳天酒醉她扶他回房不小心跌坐在床上而已。瑞恩，依旧是那个坚持不性感不接吻的她。

瑞恩再演警察，兴奋得如小孩子般，将努力跳脱胡小曼的深刻形象！xinmsn送上《警徽天职II》首周定装图集，让你抢先看部分角色的造型如何。（点击看访问视频）

8频道9点档电视剧《警徽天职》去年播出大受欢迎，以92万4000人的平均收视夺下全年收视冠军。今年卷土重来，除了白薇秀、戚玉武和陈丽贞，角色方面进行换血，少了郑斌辉和黄俊雄，加入了瑞恩、李南星、王沺裁、方展发与郭蕙雯等。

瑞恩在剧中饰演特別罪案调查组组长黄芷婕，小时候目睹姐姐被歹徒虏走杀害，对她造成心灵上的冲击，但立志要成为警察。

《警徽天职II》日前进行定装，有别于《最火搭档》胡小曼帅气冰冷的造型，黄芷婕的打扮明显比较女性化，衣服色系散发温暖。

瑞恩在接受xinmsn专访时表示，虽然演过警察，但每个角色都有自己的挑战，从来不觉得得心应手。

“因为胡小曼在很多人的印象中是比较深刻，所以我要怎么脱离那个形象，制造一个新的角色，这对我来说是非常高难度的挑战，但我很乐意接受。”

黄芷婕的故事不如胡小曼灰暗，个性更为亲切。瑞恩坦言，因为胡小曼的关系，她原以为自己之后绝对没机会接演警方的戏，没想到这次却被相中，很惊讶但也很开心。

她表示，本身对这个行业非常有兴趣，为了《最火搭档》做功课时，一直都有关注犯罪和警察范围的东西。这次能看到警察真正解决案件的过程，她’非常兴奋，有点像小孩子的心态’。

《警徽天职》拍摄严谨，注意细节，瑞恩曾看过几集，她认为可以学到东西，其实也比较放心，真正要做的功课不多，现场都会有人来教。

阿哥李南星这次饰演法证管理组队长魏蓝天，与瑞恩有感情线，两人曾在《边缘父子》合作，但那时是演朋友。

瑞恩说，上次自己演瞎子，和李南星完全没有眼神接触，所以这次比较新鲜，相当期待。她一直都很喜欢和资深艺人合作，’除了可以学到东西，整个过程也会很顺利，因为他们都很专业’。

瑞恩的电视剧一部接着一部，前年3部，去年4部，今年已播出《最火搭档2》和《花样人间》，以记者为题材的《微笑正义》正在播映中。

瑞恩说，她已经没在算拍了什么，《微笑正义》杀青后，她放了一个月的假，算是她这两三年来最长的一个假期。

她开心表示，她非常珍惜这宝贵的时间，她留在家里，什么都没有做。

粉丝投票压力大 瑞恩内疚

《红星大奖2012》结束后，新传媒在Facebook上推出《红星大奖2013》’最喜爱男女角色’å’Œ’最喜爱荧幕情侣’网络投选应用软件，鼓励粉丝们为心仪的偶像投选。

网友可以在剧集播出期间，一直到大结局后的一个星期投票，全年获得最多票数的5名艺人将角逐明年的《红星大奖》。

这个投选活动推出后，引起不少网友讨论，最近更因为陈靓瑄在《我们等你》的’杜思曼’票数激增，打败瑞恩的’胡小曼’，而引起粉丝投诉，甚至质疑陈靓瑄灌票。

被问及此投选活动，瑞恩重重地叹了一口气，前后说了3次’过意不去’。她表示感到内疚，尤其是自己戏很多，粉丝们要为各个角色投票。

瑞恩直言：’我是希望明年这个投票活动不要那么长，让我们的粉丝有时间好好读书做功课，如果是短短的，可能比较好。’

例如，《红星大奖2012》的’最喜爱’奖项投选制度，她就觉得OK。

至于接下来是否会打败’杜思曼’，瑞恩表示她无法去在乎，因为这不在她的控制范围内。

方展发在剧中饰演心理医生陈彦均，与瑞恩因为联谊认识，两人尝试交往。不过，他其实有段不为人知的过去……

方展发与瑞恩曾在《乐在双城》与《麻婆斗妇》中合作。
