2011年已来到，前半年的电视剧偏温馨，郑惠玉产后复出、范文芳扮俗女皆令人期待！

《喜事年年》依照往年习惯，围绕着农历新年，突显家庭的重要性；《乐在双城》表达出因祸得福的道理；《生日快乐》讲述癌症病患如何振作过日子，而《麻婆斗妇》正如其名，叙述婆媳之间的关系和互动。

《乐在双城》（播出：2月14日）
演员：瑞恩、白薇秀、庞蕾馨、張振寰、方展发、张耀栋、朱咪咪、姚文龙、陈欣淇等。
简介：一位年轻的千金小姐，丰厚遗产虽然被诈骗，但在过程在寻获真挚友情和爱情，并领会到幸福原来可以很简单。

精彩之处：白薇秀对瑞恩，这个新鲜搭配令人期待。白薇秀去年拍完长剧《想握你的手》后，休息喘口气，曝光率减少，但今年将全力冲刺，预计拍3部剧。至于瑞恩，她去年作品频密，口碑皆不错，是个丰收年，今年也会接下3部剧。她在此剧中再次突破，扮演可爱的千金。此外，这也是台湾个性女生庞蕾馨的主角处女作，她的表现势必令人关注。

《麻婆斗妇》（播出：4月11日）
演员：瑞恩、方展发、许美珍、李司棋、林明伦、洪乙心、李心钰、苏智诚、曹国辉等。
简介：这部现代写实剧带出在我们生活周遭常见的婆媳冲突，及家庭成员的各种有趣互动。

精彩之处：派出收视报捷的《我在你左右》幕后创作团队，《麻婆斗妇》路线与目前热播的台湾乡土剧《爱》相仿，盼再创佳绩。许美珍是这类家庭剧的熟面孔，这次饰演毒媳，将尽情对瑞恩使坏。不过，《爱》在4月仍在播映，两部戏如此轰炸，观众是否吃不消？幸好，瑞恩也算是一定的收视保证。

Caldecott Hill’s ice princess plays an aggrieved daughter-in-law in her next role

Her last role was a badass-kicking police office Hu Xiaoman in Unriddle. Come next year, not only will you see Rui En as a girly girl in A Tale of 2 Cities, this versatile actress will also play the role of an aggrieved daughter-in-law in The In-Laws.

In The In-Laws, Rui En plays a girl-next-door character, who is down-to-earth and has a passion for recycling. She plays an onscreen couple with Pierre Png and her character will constantly be in oppression because of her controlling mother-in-law and a scheming sister-in-law.

“My character in this drama is very different from the one in A Tale of 2 Cities. I was a princess girl in that one; unruly, willful with a penchant for dressing up. I don’t like to dress up. I wasn’t used to the nail polish to the high heels. This is a girl-next-door character, so it has a more casual style,” said Rui En at the photo shoot for The In-Laws.

Her character in The In-Laws might be closer to Rui En’s style, but the actress said that it was a challenge to interpret the character’s personality in the story.

“My previous roles often fight back when messed with or fight for something they want. However, this character is bullied right from the start and she tolerates it completely. My previous characters were more independent and assertive,” replied the 29-year-old.

Rui En admitted it was a “new experience for her to be given an aggrieved and pitiful role” and that she watched Taiwanese drama Love and Korean drama A Wife’s Temptation for acting tips.

“I set very high standards for myself in every drama I do. I would write a few pages of my character’s background, for example, her tribulations when she was a child,” said Rui En, who always treated the roles she played seriously.

A year ago, Rui En spent a very meaningful Christmas, by volunteering at a children’s home.

“Those children are usually very lonely. It’s meaningful to them when outsiders visit them during Christmas,” reminisced the actress.

This year, Rui En was roped in for an ad against drunk-driving and had the chance to show off her singing chops.

The actress also expressed that she usually does not receive many Christmas presents, nor has she received any special ones. However, Rui En does have something she wants, and that is to “rest at home alone”.

Despite having a heavy schedule now, Rui En said that she would have time to rest very soon.

Would the actress follow in Felicia Chin’s footsteps, taking a temporary break from showbiz or be like Jesseca Liu, signing onto another management company?

“I’m not someone who thinks too much. I do what I love doing, I’m hardly ambitious. I only know I love acting,” said Rui En.

This year, the 29-year-old actress was involved in three different productions, namely Happy Family, With You and Unriddle; all of which garnered good ratings. Does she hope to clinch something at the Star Awards next year?

“I didn’t think so much. That includes Star Awards. I never had expectations. I’m satisfied as long as the ratings are good and feedback from the viewers is good. I wouldn’t ask for anything more, since I’m already doing what I like best,” replied Rui En.

“冷面”女郎瑞恩自爆追看台湾长剧《爱》，只为诠释委屈媳妇角色！

瑞恩在新传媒8频道新剧《麻婆斗妇》中，将饰演热爱环保，个性纯朴、踏实的邻家女孩的角色。戏中她嫁给方展发，由于家婆爱操控媳妇，大嫂又诡计多多，令她的角色感到非常委屈。

瑞恩日前为该戏拍摄造型时，接受xinmsn专访时说：”这部戏的角色跟之前《乐在双城》的角色很不一样，因为那是演一个有公主病的女孩子，比较刁蛮、任性、爱打扮，但我不大喜欢打扮，从涂指甲到高跟鞋都是我不习惯。而这部是邻家女孩的造型，整个造型比较随性。”

虽然《麻婆斗妇》里的角色造型较接近瑞恩本人的风格，但要诠释故事人物的性格却是一个挑战。她说：”我以前演的都是你惹我，我会顶嘴，或争取到底的，但这个角色一开始被人欺负时，是完全用忍去带过，而且会受到很多委屈。 之前演的是比较独立、有主见的角色，突然要演一个很委屈、很可怜的媳妇，对我来说是很新鲜。”

为了揣摩委屈媳妇，她还自爆说：”作为参考，我会看《爱》和《妻子的诱惑》。”

她坦言，平时她是不会看这两部戏的，但为了角色，她就从中偷师。

对每个角色都认真对待的瑞恩说：”拍每一部戏，我的自我要求都很高。我会自己编写几页有关该角色的背景，看她小时候遇过什么事情等。”

最想得到的圣诞礼物

去年瑞恩过了一个最有意义的圣诞，她在圣诞节期间到儿童院当志工。”那些孩子平时都很孤独，圣诞期间有外面的人去探望他们，很有意义。”

今年她就有机会一展歌艺，为一支酒后驾车的广告唱广告歌，透过10几秒的时间传达酒后驾车要小心的讯息。

谈到圣诞礼物，她表示，其实收的礼物不多，也没有收过什么很特别的礼物，而心里一直想有一份圣诞礼物，就是”自己呆在家里休息”!

尽管来年瑞恩的档期已排得满满，但她说，应该很快就有一些时间能够休息一下。

有望拿红星大奖？

被问会否仿效陈靓瑄暂时离开娱乐圈，或如刘子绚般另签经纪公司？

瑞恩说：”我不是一个会想很多的人，我只做我喜欢做的东西，没有什么抱负，只知道很喜欢演戏。”

今年瑞恩参与演出的《过好年》、《你在我左右》和《最火搭档》收视不俗，她有否期望在《红星大奖》中得奖？

瑞恩笑着说：”我没有想很多，包括红星大奖。我从来没有什么期待，只要戏收视不错，观众的反应也是不错，我已经很满意了。 我现在已经很开心，已经可以做自己爱做的东西，我不会要求更多的东西。”

Caldecott Hill’s ice princess will be ditching her cold and frosty persona to embrace all things girlish and fluffy for A Tale of Two Cities

Last seen as the crime-busting, ass-kicking tough cookie in the police and thief drama series, Unriddle, Caldecott Hill’s ice princess will be trading her revolver and holster for high heels and frilly dresses in her upcoming role for Ch 8 rom-com series, A Tale of Two Cities.

Think Elle Woods in Legally Blonde with her pet Chihuahua, Bruce. Rui En will make a 360-degree change and embrace all things pretty and kawaii for her willful heiress character, Zhang Ya Le.

To complete the overall getup, the 29-year-old went the extra mile and “for the first time in my life”, purchased a Hello Kitty pouch, dubbing it “a little bag” for her cellphone in the show.

At the trailer shoot for the upcoming drama, we were shell shocked — in a good way — by Rui En’s radical makeover. Sporting beautifully curled tresses, the tomboyish one who swears by “shorts and slippers” was dressed in a flouncy bejeweled frock, three-inch heels, donned a diamante headband and had acrylic nails to top it off.

Talking about her new role, the cool chick suffered an “anxiety attack” when she first received the show’s script and likened it to having a curveball thrown in her face, during an interview with xinmsn. To get in-tune with her inner city chick, Rui En religiously pored through series like Sex and the City and Gossip Girl.

“Whenever I do a show, I’ll have the mannerisms for awhile and it’s very embarrassing! She’s very expressive and very drama [on her character’s antics]!” she gushed in mortification and chuckled.

Sharing on the crew’s impression of her makeover, she said, “The first time one of them saw me, his reaction was like that (mimicking a jaw-dropped look).”

Citing her tolerance level for bling, dresses, and heels to be worn only at press conferences, events or the annual Star Awards, the un-girly girl even sought tips from her fellow co-star, Joanne Peh, whom she calls a “girly bubbly princess girl” and a “really good reference”.

“I told myself when this show broadcasts, I might not watch it ‘cos I feel so embarrassed,” laughed Rui En.

Despite her cool exterior, this actress was given a wide berth of opportunities to play a myriad of characters in her acting career and had to “work very hard” to earn it.

“People were like ‘she can only do certain cool roles’ and I had to work two times harder,” she said.

Choosing to play her character with a “larger than life” drama queen personality, the Nanyang Technology University business graduate is open to “anything challenging” and will not veer from feminine roles.

Setting the record straight, she quips “There are only certain scenes that I will not do.”

Unconsciously flicking her hair demurely from time to time during the interview and trailer shoot, Rui En was clearly immersed in character.

“Beyond the very embarrassing mannerisms influence, I actually realize that skirts are quite comfortable,” she chuckled and adds, “I guess I might be more open to skirts after this.”

After a six-month hiatus from television, Joanne Peh will return as a materialistic and unscrupulous model in the upcoming rom-com Ch 8 drama series, A Tale of Two Cities.

Sharing the screen with Rui En, for the first time, Joanne’s experience with her fellow Caldecott Hill Princess has been nothing short of pleasant and comfortable. The NTU graduate revealed in an interview with xinmsn that an unspoken understanding and rapport had formed between the both of them though the two starlets share little onscreen time together.

“She’s a woman of little words and we can click pretty well whenever there’s a common topic shared between us. We won’t try to intentionally create talking points but that’s not to say we are aloof and cold around each other,” said the 28-year-old on their “hard to come by” chemistry at work.

A Tale of Two Cities debuts on Valentines’ Day 2011.

台湾个性女生庞蕾馨，签约新传媒，处女作担任主角，力拼瑞恩白薇秀！被问及是否想当公主，她率性说：”皇宫不适合我！”

貌似桂纶镁的庞蕾馨（Kate Pang），原先在台湾担任模特儿，性格独立的她，在家人的支持下，决定签约两年，单枪匹马来我国发展。

首部剧当主角 不想当公主

庞蕾馨刚签约，受到公司器重，首部剧《乐在双城》担任女主角，与另两位主角瑞恩及白薇秀尬戏，此剧将在9月底开拍。

她感激道：”这是我第一次演戏，压力还蛮大的，这算是给我一个很大的表现机会，我会好好努力。”

对于两位公主，庞蕾馨不敢多说，觉得她们各方面都蛮杰出，相信有很多可以向她们学习的地方。

庞蕾馨接着说：”我是不敢冒犯公主这个地位，但我觉得我的个性，比较不像公主在我心中的那个感觉，我是一个比较自由自在，不受拘束的人，皇宫可能不太适合我。”

Kate Pang is the newest addition to Caldecott Hill.

Speaking to xinmsn in an exclusive interview – her first in Singapore – the Taiwanese model had nothing but praises for fellow Mediacorp’s actresses Joanne Peh and Rui En, whom she will be acting alongside with in an upcoming drama production. Filming for the drama would commence this month.

Surprisingly, the feisty one has no wish to join the “royalty” status – a popularity ranking label coined by local media for popular female celebrities – of Joanne Peh and Rui En.

“I won’t dare to offend the title of a ‘princess’. My character doesn’t suit that of a princess. I’m a freedom-lover and I don’t like being controlled. The palace is not a place for me,” Kate explained.

Liping’s laughter was the key to defrosting the icy Rui En as the two collaborate for the first time on MediaCorp’s latest drama

Known as the Ice Princess of Caldecott, one would hardly expect Rui En to hit off well with anyone.

However, it seems that Chen Liping has managed to melt the Ice Queen’s heart.

At the press conference for Unriddle, Liping proudly declared that Rui En is no longer a ‘princess’, but an Ice Queen.

“However, we are the ‘hottest’ partners so the ice has melted already!” joked Liping.

Liping was right about the melting ice: the icy Rui En appeared cheery throughout the press conference and even shared anecdotes.

“She has a really infectious laughter and she goes out of breath when she laughs, which in turn makes me laugh as well,” said Rui En.

In Unriddle, the two of them take on leading roles as police investigators working as a team to solve crimes. Liping’s role was originally slated to be played by Zoe Tay; however, she had to back out when she got pregnant with her third child.

Judging from their interactions on the press conference and in the interview with xinmsn,
Liping and Rui En appeared to have gotten on pretty well despite this being their first collaboration.

Contrary to her usually-reserved demeanour, the 29-year-old Rui En frequently cracked jokes and was all praises for Liping.

“Liping took great care of me since the first day; she is the most generous artiste I’ve ever met!”

Rui En went on to explain that Liping had let her personal assistant help out Rui En unconditionally.

Liping also complimented Rui En on her acting.

“I thought that she was a good actress when I saw her other works; after working with her, I realize she is better than I thought!”

While Rui En’s With You received positive ratings, Liping’s Your Hand in Mine did not go well with audience.

Both of them explained that audience response is not within their control and they can only do their own best.

“As performers we just concentrate on doing our scenes and doing our own job well. That’s all we can do.”

新传媒8频道新剧《最火搭档》昨日举行记者会，出席的主要演员有瑞恩、陈莉萍、郑斌辉、郑各评、陈泓宇、章缜翔、曾诗梅、黄炯耀和陈邦鋆。

陈莉萍在剧中扮演的女线人角色原属郑惠玉，不过因惠玉三度怀孕，所以只好辞演。而瑞恩首次饰演为破案而不择手段的女警。

这两代女艺人在圈中众所周知，莉萍”慢热”、瑞恩”超酷”，但较人惊喜的是，她们在记者会上竟频频互相捉弄，还窃窃私语，似乎处得不错。（点击看陈莉萍和瑞恩视频）

莉萍在记者会上甚至笑称：”瑞恩不是公主，请你们不要再叫她公主，她是Ice Queen（冰女皇）！哈哈！可是，我们是’最火搭档’，所以她这个冰山已经溶化了！哈哈！”

瑞恩回应，从来不晓得莉萍是这么有趣的人，两人对台词时，剧情是严肃的，但莉萍却设想出很滑稽的画面，结果大笑出声。

瑞恩笑说：”她的笑声很有感染力，而且她一笑，就笑到不能呼吸和讲话，我也开始笑出来，她看到我笑，就笑得更厉害！哈哈！”

瑞恩：莉萍是最大方的艺人

的确，二人在接受xinmsn专访时，也充分体现了搞笑默契，尤其是一向很酷的瑞恩，竟在访问中几次开起玩笑走出镜，然后又自己跑回来。

瑞恩告诉记者，她一直以为莉萍是很严肃的人，没想到两人合作的第一场戏，莉萍就笑场。

而未合作前，莉萍观看瑞恩的戏时，就很欣赏这位女生，”我就在想，她的戏很好，为什么还没有机会合作？合作后，才发现原来她比想象中更好！”

瑞恩向记者透露，”莉萍从第一天就很照顾我，她是我见过最大方的艺人！”

她补充，莉萍拍戏时有聘请私人助理，自己则没有，但莉萍会毫不吝啬请自己的助理协助她，令她非常感动。

记者见两人相处得那么愉快，追问一向不跟圈内人有太多交集的瑞恩，是否把莉萍当朋友了。她们竟异口同声表示，这种事情还是顺其自然，颇有默契。

《我在你左右》叫好叫座 《想我你的手》反应欠佳

瑞恩和莉萍的上一部作品引起极端反应，瑞恩的《我在你左右》夺得上半年收视冠军又叫好，莉萍的《想握你的手》收视和口碑都不理想。

记者问起，莉萍回答：”我看到《我在你左右》，瑞恩演一个妈妈，演得不错！”

瑞恩搭腔：”其实，我对那个角色完全没有信心！”

而两人也表示，观众对剧集的反应由不得演员控制，莉萍强调：”我们演员把戏演好，做好本分就好了。”

《我在你左右》剧情感人，演员演技精湛，最后慢热胜出，夺上半年新传媒8频道9点档电视剧收视之冠！

2010年正式进入下半年，新传媒8频道9点档收视排行榜出炉，由瑞恩、陈汉玮与彭耀顺主演的《我在你左右》，主题不常见，播出时口碑好，果然也反映在收视上，轻松夺得收视之冠。

20集的《我在你左右》平均有969，000名观众收看，胜过去年冠军（不包括《小娘惹》）《煮妇的假期》（平均939，000观众收看 ）。

收视榜亚军是由欧萱、黄俊雄、郑斌辉和刘芷绚主演的《红白囍事》，平均每集吸引937，000名观众。

贺岁剧《过好年》夺得季军，女主角瑞恩两部作品皆入围三甲，证明其受欢迎程度。上周刚结束的《3个女人一个宝》，久违的戚玉武重返电视圈，还有可爱的宝宝抢镜，观众给予支持与肯定，收视排名第4。

完整榜次如下：
1）《我在你左右》（20集）：平均969，000名观众收看
2）《红白囍事》（20集）：平均937，000名观众收看
3）《过好年》（20集）：平均896，000名观众收看
4）《3个女人一个宝》（20集）：平均889，000名观众收看

虽然《当我们同在一起》在2010年才结束，但仍被归类为2009年的电视剧，因此不包括在榜内。

监制苏美莲感安慰 赞演员演出精湛

对于如此骄绩，《我在你左右》监制苏美莲接受xinmsn访问时表示，当初播出时，周遭回响不错，所以剧组确实对收视率有所期待。如今成绩揭晓，她感到很安慰。

她说：”（会受欢迎）可能是因为题材新鲜，处理方式不一样。根据《我在你左右》的收视走势，可以看出它是慢热的，观众慢慢留意到这部剧……故事围绕着’情’，突出家庭凝聚力。”

《我在你左右》聚集两位视帝，两人的飙戏是一大卖点，瑞恩的演技也日渐纯熟。

苏美莲认为，大家的表演受落，例如，瑞恩从没演过妈妈这类较成熟的角色，让观众看到她的内心戏，发现她也可以这么感性。

至于陈汉玮，他的造型与前几部剧不同，走简单路线，证明他无须靠造型演戏。苏美莲说，他的角色会进上其他角色的身，所以演员间必须有一定的默契。

苏美莲也称赞彭耀顺，认为他演得有喜感，虽然常自嘲华语说得不好，但非常用功，在镜头前显得轻松。

《我在你左右》大受欢迎，新传媒日后是否考虑多拍灵异主题的电视剧？苏美莲笑说，也不一定是灵异主题，但方向可以更多变。不过，他们也必须考虑到赞助商的问题。

2010下半年电视剧：智慧与体力的竞争

2009年的电视剧以草根剧为主，《煮妇的假期》、《团圆饭》、《企鹅爸爸》与《添丁发财》等，剧情基本上都围绕着家庭。

这上半年的电视剧，继续把重心摆在家庭之余，也加入一些新鲜题材，例如《我在你左右》有陈汉玮的鬼魂角色作怪，《红白囍事》则让人更了解婚姻与丧事策划工作。

进入下半年，9点档电视剧主要描述各式各样的”竞争”，稍微偏离家庭剧，其中包括上周开播的青春运动剧《泳闯琴关》，8月的警匪剧《最火搭档》、9月的律师剧《走进走出》、10月的悬疑剧《无花果》、11月的侦探阿嫂剧《正义女神》，就连12月的年度大剧《破天网》也围绕着正邪之争。

观众是否会喜欢这类题材，反应颇令人期待。
