Love is………when 8 individuals brave the perilous Malaysian highways, the possibility of nude squats at customs and the Malaysian custom of ensuring all directions are always, “just go straight”. I am very thankful the Super 8 didn’t end up in Thailand instead.

Love is………buying so much stuff for my filming and to tempt my diminishing appetite, that my already cramped room has become one in which I have to climb over a myriad of boxes and bags to get from the bed to the toilet.

Love is……..doing all this simply to cheer me up in a miserable exhausting situation.

I do really love you guys.

Good news is no new injuries so far. Monday went smoothly. First time in my life doing sword fighting and it kicks major ass. I love it so much. Am so in a Crouching Tiger mood at the moment.

So so news is saw another chinese doc for the leg injury and he says as long as I continue doing the fight scenes, the leg will not get better and there will be long term consequences. However pain is gone unless I come down on a bad angle and just aches after sitting for long and standing up.

Big action scenes tonight, tomorrow and day after will be first time doing lion dance – I am the lion head.

Pray hard.

This post is not for the easily queasy or faint-hearted.

Another day, another bad landing, another swollen and blue toe, many ice packs.

But the interesting part of this experience was the “fang xue” that the zhong yi I went to do for me for the first time in my life.

The closest english interpretation I can come up with is bloodletting. Which of course brings up images in my mind of medieval England and their so-called medical practices, which almost invariably ended up with the demise of the patient.

The good news is that after the so-called bad blood or blood clot was squeezed out, the blue toe has turned various shades of brown and yellow. Which I suppose warrants a hurrah.

Next stunt scene is on Monday, any prayers would be appreciated.

A couple days I did my first fight scene for Code Of Honor. First time wearing harness wire, the kind that lets you film flying, somersaults, etc. Just think Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. My very first shot filmed was a backwards mid air somersault. I love it.

I was having so much fun flying around until of course, I slammed chest-first into a wooden pillar while attempting to do a spinning kick around the pillar. Turns out I kicked the martial arts director in the head and he couldn’t catch me in time.

Luckily that happened two days before I was scheduled to fly back, so because I was in pain, the minute I touched down I went for a x ray and ECG.

No fracture and no signs of internal bleeding from the ECG so thank god. Resting now and monitoring for internal bleeding, will be flying back soon.

Unfortunately this is price to be paid for doing action scenes, but have way too much fun doing them.

This will be first of many, especially since the next one is U2, but it’s all good, please don’t worry.

I really don’t know sometimes.

Why would these people keep voting for me?

Then it dawns upon me

They must be the angels sent from above

Put on earth

To show me the meaning of love

(Yes, it might be a lousy cheesy poem but I mean it just like my stick man, whose name happens to be Mr Man)

And henceforth the “Dang-ers” shall be known as the “Rangels”. (Is that at least a slight improvement over the much-disliked Dang-ers?)

Both the TNP reporter + Min were sooo impressed with the initiative and helpfulness shown by the 10 RBKD-ers during the old folks’ event.

What meant the world to me was that I could tell you guys were genuinely enjoying yourself.

How much you guys have grown after all this while.

Now I can say with certainty that this is more than just a fan club. I’m really so proud of you guys.

Happy new year.

Filming has wrapped and I have just 2-3 weeks break before starting the new show. Right now I’m wound so tightly and have no idea how to unwind my mind.

Next year will be the year I learn how to pace myself. And how to Just. Breathe. (BTW some of the info you guys got about next yr is not right)

Part 2 of “Things I’m Loving Now”

Modern Family – HILARIOUS. I adore Phil, Gloria and the gay couple.

Japanese film Confessions was amazing. I’m so proud that Asian cinema is starting to catch up and even surpass Hollywood.

Dying, dying, dying to catch Black Swan.

BTW, for my birthday next year, I’m serious about not wanting a single gift or card. Instead, I would rather you make those things or put that effort into volunteering even if it’s for one day. How happy would those things make a lonely child?

And, yes indeed, he is still the object of my obsession

Strange how of all the things I wrote, the one-liner K-Pop bit got the most attention. I’m not sure it’s a good thing that you guys see me as so………..one-track?

Isn’t it then even more of a contradiction that an “ang mo pai” is acting in Channel 8?

Being an artiste means learning and being aware about all forms of art, popular and not popular. After taking my entire career thus far to get to the point where I’m only JUST BEGINNING to understand acting, I have learnt never ever to dismiss or brush aside any form of art. Something that’s popular does not mean it’s any less difficult to attain, or that dues have not been paid (this is a highly flawed viewpoint that I also used to embrace). As an actress, I’m beginning to see how very dangerous and wrong it is to label and pigeonhole. And realizing all this has set me free to embrace new things.

It would be a travesty and very tragic to insist on being the frog in the well, simply for the sake of it.
