Adding a touch of stardust to our garden campus in December were artistes Rui En, Xiang Yun, Elvin Ng and Tay Ping Hui, who were here to film the latest MediaCorp blockbuster Unriddle 2.

Nanyang Business School graduate Rui En found time to browse a copy of HEY!. “This is actually quite a step forward and I think it looks really, really cool,” she said of the magazine.

郭舒贤入围“最佳女主角”争视后，粉丝质疑新传媒有意“打压”，让她陪跑，以便为本届视后大热门的白薇秀“铺路”。

郭舒贤也很意外

郭舒贤也很意外是凭《万福楼》入围，而非《甘榜情》。

不过，对粉丝质疑新传媒刻意让她“陪跑”，郭舒贤表示：“陪跑？我不觉得。《万福楼》’品红’这个角色其实也不容易演。”

最佳女主角其他入围者是郑惠玉、范文芳、白薇秀和瑞恩。这次的视后之争被形容是“阿字辈”对垒“公主”，郭舒贤笑说：“这样很好玩啊！娱乐圈就需要这样的噱头！”

郭淑贤在受访时对于最佳奖项的入围过程显得不知情，陈国明解释入围过程：

1. 第一阶段入围投选，工作内容与新传媒华语电视频道相关的新传媒全职员都有权投票，主办单位也邀请了本地主要报章、娱乐杂志及娱乐新闻网站的主编和记者参与投选。评审都必须看过所有份入围的剧集，演员们也自选表现最出色的一集共评审参考，到了投票当天，现场也播放各演员5分钟演出精华片段。

2. 红星大奖委员会统计初选票数，也为票数相近的初选再次投票。

3. 各项最佳奖项的决选由十多名新传媒内部与业界专业人士组成的评审团决定。评审团的评分交由审计师审核统计结果。

新传媒红星大奖入围名单昨天公布，爆三大冷门：一是《四个门牌一个梦》去年收视最高，内容贴近时事，引起热烈舆论，却落选最佳电视剧。二是黄俊雄在《正义武馆》一人分饰二角，发挥空间很大，却名落孙山。三是在马来西亚制作的《正义》，走动作路线，剧种为新传媒罕见，除了收视欠佳，在台内也不获肯定。

《乐在双城》双旦白薇秀、瑞恩戏里斗完，戏外再斗，双双入围最佳女主角。上世纪三大阿姐郑惠玉、范文芳、郭舒贤，各以《阿娣》《边缘父子》《万福楼》入围，形成两个世代之争。

红星大奖的入围名单由新传媒内部相关部门投选产生，其中包括少数新传媒以外的媒体投票。

Can Rui En win Best Actress again?

The annual Star Awards has officially arrived once more, with the release of the Star Awards 2012 nominee list on Thursday.

Singapore actress Rui En, who was named Best Actress at last year’s Star Awards, has received her second Star Awards Best Actress nomination this year, for playing a spoilt ‘princess’ in the popular drama “A Tale of 2 Cities”.

However, she will have to beat some really tough competition to bring home the trophy this time round – MediaCorp veterans Zoe Tay (“Devotion), Fann Wong (“On The Fringe”) and Ann Kok (“Bountiful Blessings) have also been nominated for the award, along with Rui En’s “A Tale of 2 Cities” co-star Joanne Peh, who was nominated for her performance as a materialistic maneater in the show.

The Star Awards 2012 nominee list is here!

The feisty Ann Kok, with her triumphant “I’m Back!” said on stage last year, is well and truly here to stay! She is nominated for Best Actress for her role as the evil spirit Pin Hong in Bountiful Blessings. While no stranger to Best Actress nominations, but she has never actually won this award before! She is the only ‘Best Actress’ virgin this year, will she manage to pop her cherry in 2012?

With number 3 nominated, how can we miss out No1 and No2! The powerhouses of Caldecott are both nominated this year, Fann for On The Fringe, and Zoe for Devotion.
