Local actress Rui En is not only beautiful and talented, but also has a heart of gold.

The 34-year-old artiste recently adopted a kitten from SPCA Singapore and gave the little feline a new lease of life.

Photos posted by SPCA Singapore on Facebook show the duo along with the caption: “Good on MediaCorp artiste, actress RUI EN, for adopting BINGO the kitty (who was rescued from a glue trap), very recently! ‪#‎RuiEn‬ ‪#‎adoption ‬‪#‎pets‬ ‪#‎adoptapet‬ ‪#‎MediaCorp‬”

Just when you think Rui En can’t get any more perfect, she manages to capture even more hearts.

粉丝做公益，瑞恩相挺：“我会配合大家的时间！”

瑞恩的粉丝会“瑞不可当”成立七周年，为让周年庆更有意义，20多名会员于刚过的星期六（12日）早上，携本地AWWA协会（AWWA Community Integration Services）的受益孩童，到位于坎贝拉公园（Canberra Park）的综合儿童游乐场玩。

正在赶拍重头剧《志在四方2》的瑞恩，提前跟剧组请了假，到场跟孩子们互动、玩游戏。

粉丝会会长欣怡昨天告诉记者，瑞恩得知粉丝举办这项活动，非常支持，不但承诺会到场，更表明会配合活动时间，说过：“你们不用配合我，我配合你们。”

瑞恩昨天通过经纪人说：“RBKD（粉丝会缩写）举办了这次的活动，让我知道新加坡有这样的地方让小朋友玩，非常的好，希望他们玩得开心、永远坚强、快乐。”这是她第一次到这个综合儿童游乐场，希望有更多公众能知道这个地方。

坎贝拉公园的综合儿童游乐场，是一个适合特别需求孩童的游乐场。该游乐场的秋千号称“本地最大秋千”，也更安全。跷跷板和滑梯可供轮椅使用者玩耍。游乐场内也有凹凸面的玩乐设施，供视障儿童探索。

星期六当天，有10名孩童在场，其中五名是受益人，他们是本地主流学校的小学生，其余五名是他们的兄弟姐妹。

粉丝为确保活动顺利进行，两周前就到游乐场了解设施，学习怎么跟孩童们玩，前后去了四五次，并资助了活动的所有费用，包括交通及午餐费用。

瑞恩粉丝团RBKD（“瑞不可当”英文缩写）为庆祝成立七周年，筹办了一个小型公益活动，带着五个AWWA受惠儿童到坎贝拉公园的“具包容性”儿童游乐场（Inclusive Playground）游玩。瑞恩也特地向剧组请了半天假，参与活动。

“具包容性”的儿童游乐场是为有特别需求的孩童打造的天地，让他们可以和其他小朋友一起玩乐。五个受惠儿童上周六就和他们的兄弟姐妹，在游乐场度过了一个开心的上午。

RBKD一直都有筹办公益活动，大多以老年者为对象，包括每年瑞恩生日，他们都会为独居老人送暖，送上食物和日常用品。这次是RBKD第一次为儿童筹办活动。

粉丝会会长欣怡告诉记者：“很多人不知道有‘具包容性’儿童游乐场，我们希望透过这次活动，让更多人知道这个设施，并鼓励有特别需求的孩童和其他孩童一起玩乐。”

特地向《志在四方2》剧组请假

会长欣怡说：“瑞恩非常支持我们的活动。原本我们要配合她的档期安排活动，但又想善用9月学校假期带小朋友出去，瑞恩就跟我们说，放心去安排，她会配合我们。”

正在赶拍《志在四方2》的瑞恩，当天特地向剧组请了半天假，和粉丝一起进行这次活动。

瑞恩除了带小朋友尝试游乐场的各种设施，还和他们一起玩寻宝游戏、队长球（Captain’s Ball）等。

瑞恩透过经纪人说：“RBKD这次的活动，让我知道新加坡有这样的地方让小朋友玩，非常的好，希望他们玩得开心、永远坚强快乐。”

RBKD这次也资助了活动的所有费用，包括提供午餐及交通。

RBKD: As part of our Annual Giving tradition in line with our 7th anniversary celebrations, Rui En joined RBKD in an outing to the inclusive playground at Canberra Park for children with special needs last Saturday. We hope to help generate awareness of such facilities in Singapore. Do spread the word.

RBKD: Just for fun. Toggle identifies a few celebs who are reimagined as politicians. This includes Rui En for Minister of Culture, Community and Youth.

As one of the most influential artistes in Singapore, Toggle suggests that there is no better person than Rui En to cast in the role of a minster with a strong youth-related portfolio and one which promotes volunteerism.

Rui En actively volunteering when not filming and her fan club RBKD makes it a point to spread such positive influence via organising volunteer activities and charity drives with members too.
