Dark and darker horses abound in the 1st round of updates for the Top 10 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes!

It gets more interesting as we proceed to the list for the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes. This year could be the year of the dark horses for the ladies…

Like Dennis Chew, latecomer Lim Pei Fen also managed to make it to the 1st round of Top 10 leading names. Could deejays have more luck? Don’t forget they have the best of both worlds – fans from both TV and Radio,

Zhou Ying and Tiffany Leong, both first-timers to the Top 10 awards, have both made it to the list in this round. Despite not being Singaporean natives, the actresses have proved that they have their own group of supporters rooting for them. So stop saying “Who is Zhou1 Ying1?” and “Tiffany who?”. Don’t play play ah.

Kym Ng and Pan Ling Ling who missed out on a Top 10 award last year have bounced back with gusto to make it to this round’s list while Quan Yi Fong and Michelle Chia, who each won a Top 10 award last year, are visibly missing from the list. Yi Fong and Michelle’s fans are probably saving their ammo till the last minute. It’s still anybody’s game at this point.

i是我们，也是你们，即自己。爱别人，先得爱自己。然而，爱自己，其实比想象中困难。

对i誓爱，首先请艺人开始。

欧萱、瑞恩、黄俊雄、陈靓瑄，为i发挥创意，有趣的是，设计成品清晰凸显各自个性。

瑞恩随心随意有几分大剌剌，不会也不知画什么画，随笔火柴人反而微妙飘荡原始质朴创意feel。

话虽如此，30岁，对一个女演员来说，原来是一件敏感的事。

经理人小姐M事前也很不安地问，可以不要太着重谈年龄吗?

通篇敏感数字反复出现，真的有人患上30敏感症，看了心跳不规律冒冷汗?

写下这篇文字的记者也踏入了30，当然没有像瑞恩一样：

Baby Fat 不见了，多了女人味，添了气势，赢了肯定。

不再是个单薄空洞，不知道自己要去哪里的愤怒女孩。

女人30

30岁，不算什么。

有人觉得这个数字很大，30岁就要思考，能做什么、快点做什么、必须做什么……对我来说，it’s just another day。我不喜欢庆祝生日，但我其实很高兴自己变老了，长大了，渐渐接受自己是个怎么样的人。

10几岁的时候，我曾经只想追求刺激的生活，很多事情发生，浪费了很多时间，我开始想脱离那样的生活，要为自己的人生找意义。

刚出道的时候，我不知道自己要什么，爱慕虚荣，一心只想要红，也尝试过很多不同的东西，虽然有后悔的事情，但一定要经过那些事，才会成长为现在这样的我吧。

I will never cry

我刚入行第一个杂志访问拍摄，负责帮我做造型的，也是今天的封面造型师。

其实我已经忘记他讲了什么，到底发生什么事，我当时只觉得他很Bitchy,哈哈，我那时还是兼职模特儿，就觉得这一行的人怎么这么恐怖，天啊。
(造型师Steve拍摄间笑谈两人第一次拍摄合作，她状态不佳，他觉得她态度有问题，要骂哭她，她还顶撞他：“I will never cry.”)

我不记得我怎么会讲这句话，哈哈，但我必须承认，那很像是我的风格!

Number 7

今年是我入行第10年，事业经历过上下，左右摇摆各种情况，事实上很多时候我都在谷底。

几年前7公主时代，我的排名永远最后一名。

很搞笑，不是number 6就是number 7，大家给我的评价永远都是：“她有距离感”、“她态度有问题”、“她的脸怎么这么臭”。

刚开始很hurt。相信我，那种感觉没有人喜欢。

好像一块肉，被大家评分，然后你得最后一名，感觉很rejected。

也就是那个时期，我决定不要再去在乎那些看法。因为这样，我的事业反而好像有转变了。

不一样的自己

以前也有圈内人当面告诉我，觉得我不行，个性形象符合不到要求。

好像大家都这样下了定论，开始时我也不相信自己可以做到什么。

我知道外界对一个艺人的预设范畴，我做不到大家期望的、一个女艺人该有的样子，所以不期望自己大红大紫，做自己喜欢的东西就好。

如果我的经历有什么message,就是你可以做一个不一样的自己。

收视女王

我不喜欢这个封号。

有身边人说：“哇，queen 咧。” 我就会说：“shut up 啦。”

一部戏，有很多人参与，因为我是女主角，所以就是我成功？

不可能，我也不相信。当然我也很希望是因为我，但事实不是这样的。

我只能尽力不要听，闭眼睛闭耳朵，我怕自己真的信以为真：因为我，这些戏才红。那下一部戏失败了，也全都是我的责任？

以后一定会有一部不行的作品。红的时候，我是女王。失败时，我是什么？

每当变幻时

每当有人告诉我一个好消息，我就会开始想到好消息背后的坏消息。

登上事业顶峰? 我偏向悲观，你相信了一样东西，如果它突然不见了，你会不知道怎么办好，我很怕这样的感觉。

尤其娱乐圈很难预料，好像7公主，突然就剩3个人，而且是在短短几年发生，谁预料得到?

这行业太脆弱，所以我一直提醒自己，今天的美好，可能隔天就不见了，我唯一能做的就是继续进步。我宁愿这样想。

我只要拼下去

我也不懂自己是怎么survive至今的。

以前一年产量最多1、2部戏，今年是第一次，一部接一部拍。希望这次也可以survive到。

我也担心啊，产量多质量差的问题，但现在只有拼下去。

这个圈子很残酷，女演员到一个年龄就会掉了，我一直有这样的想法。

就算现在做得很累、很累，都会告诉自己要拼下去，因为不是任何时候，你都有这些机会的。有一天什么光辉都会过去，要拼就趁现在。

很累时，我都这么告诉自己，这是我的energy来源。

大制作绝缘体

是啊，入行以来我完全没有参与过大制作。较红的作品像≪我在你左右≫都是没有什么宣传的。《最火搭档》只是宣传时被说成是大制作，其是它不是，哈。

大制作的问题是，大家期望很高，往往达成目标很困难。

我不相信一定要大制作才可以出位，一定要第一主角才会红。

你够好的话，演咖喱菲也会有人看到。我和Paul（与她合作最多次、《边缘父子》监制袁树伟）说过，如果有发挥，演配角我也愿意。像我现在拍摄中的《边缘父子》，我演盲女，文芳才是第一女主角，我只是客串。

咖喱菲

我很喜欢和监制袁树伟 合作，他给我100%空间自由，这对我很重要。

很多演员喜欢和他合作，他的工作环境，会让演员觉得很幸福快乐，哈哈。

我的人就是这样，如果你信任我，我会用超过100巴仙的努力加倍奉还。

他给我很大空间，就算我的演绎方式不是他想象中的样子，他还是让我去做，他真的给我很多帮助。他找我演《过好年》的小冬，我真的不了解他怎么会找我演这样的角色，和我形象差这么远。

但因为小冬，改变很多观众对我的印象。

以前大家觉得我只适合演酷酷的角色。

人家帮我，我会记住，我注重报恩。我愿意当他的咖喱菲。

女人味

我以前说过我不要穿裙，不要扮得很妩媚女性化。因为我平时很粗鲁，走路还会脚开开，所以很怕穿帮，哈。

拍了《乐在双城》，才发现，咦，原来效果还不错。我从来没想过自己可以这么女性化。通过工作，可以打开我的眼睛，以前认为自己做不到的事情，原来是可能行得通的。

现在在拍《麻婆斗妇》，是个苦命的媳妇，我刻意把她演得很胆小、弱懦， 声音也会提高，我从来没有演过这样委屈的角色，人家看我的脸也不觉得我是个受委屈的人，哈哈，很期待，不知道出街后大家的反应是什么?

Let it go

老了以后脾气真的有改变。

以前小时候对很多事情，不知道为什么很容易生气，现在回想觉得很无聊，很浪费身体最里面的energy。

现在学会Let it go, 累计太多，对自己是很不好的。

拍《乐在双城》时，我觉得我的角色雅乐很讨厌，刁蛮任性，一点也不可爱。

演一个不那么讨人喜欢的角色，其实我ok。但如果演员不喜欢自己的角色，就会很难投入。

我看雅乐，她是完全和我不一样的人，但是你必须要包容你的角色，包括她的弱点和不完美。我常常觉得人很复杂，很奇怪，人最有趣的地方，并非他的优点，而是他的缺点。

因为演戏，我开始学会把自己丢开，去了解别人，接受别人不完美的弱点。

以前我太在乎自己，现在慢慢学会丢开。这是我工作中好玩有趣的地方。

和i在一起

和i的一刻

应该是上一次去印尼的封面访问。我觉得是出道以来最接近我的访问。因为可能自己表达不好，或记者有自己的角度和议程，有些访问出街，不觉得表达了自己真正的想法。但如果有人问我读哪些访问可以了解我，我觉得是这个访问，还有ST的专访。

喜欢的i

虽然是新传媒旗下杂志,但对演员的评论还算公平。另外,就算我很低潮时,i还是很支持我,我真的很感激。你们应该是从我一开始,在我是nothing的时候,唯一一个很支持我的媒体。因为我不太聊私事,有些记者会排斥我,你不讲,我就不要写你。现在我的事业有了一点起色,你们还是和以前一样,我真的感激。可能是我一厢情愿? 哈。

不喜欢的i

从以前到现在，我一直觉得很奇怪，为什么你们要刊登剧情? 可以不要吗? 没有的话，会不会更好? 我觉得读了剧情，看戏就什么惊喜都没有了，很破坏! 尤其《最火搭档》时，我们就是靠悬疑性吸引观众，结果什么情节都登出来了!

希望自己改变的

希望自己变得稳重成熟一点，其实我有很多想改变的地方，每个人都有很多弱点。我不喜欢自己太敏感，我觉得自己很好笑，有时候别人讲某个字眼，也会让我忽然很sad,觉得被冒犯，很怪。

希望自己不变的

可以生存到现在的一股strength。我是个很固执的人，是我的缺点也是我的优点。

被媒体认为今年该出位的本地艺人，命运大不同，有人欢喜有人愁。

新传媒红星大奖十大最受欢迎男女艺人的20强候选名单昨天出炉，凭重头剧《破天网》担重角的周颖，首次杀入名单，不过节目不断，月前在高峰时多达四个的李腾，却被拒于门外，观众缘似乎仍待加强。

本报年初向本地主要娱乐媒体进行调查，李腾与周颖最受推崇为今年应该出位，结果周颖出位了，李腾还没有。

20大女艺人，因为向云晋升超级红星，蔡佩璇、陈靓瑄、刘子绚离巢，金银姬落选，出现五个空缺，分别由蔡琦慧、郭蕙雯、梁丽芳、周颖、许美珍补上。前四人是首度打进20大，也是这一年来挑起本地剧重担的女主角。许美珍去年在微型网志骂完导演，也格外受戏剧部重用，携气势重回20大。

其他入围20大的女艺人有白薇秀、郭舒贤、洪慧芳、赖怡伶、李心钰、林梅娇、林湘萍、欧萱、潘玲玲、权怡凤、瑞恩、谢韵仪、曾诗梅、钟琴、庄米雪。

SINGAPORE: The list of nominees for the Star Awards Top 10 Most Popular Male/Female Artistes was unveiled during a press lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore on Thursday.

Fan favourites like Singapore actor Dai Yang Tian, Elvin Ng, Joanne Peh, Rui En and actress Jeanette Aw, all managed to earn a place on the nomination list.

While Ng, Peh, Aw and Rui En were also nominated in other categories at this year’s Star Awards, this is Dai’s only nomination so far, a fact that has sparked speculation that his star has dimmed.

Voting

The winners of the Top 10 Most Popular Artistes Award will be decided via telephone voting by the public and the results will be revealed ‘live’ during the “Star Awards 2011 Show 2” on April 24 on Channel 8.

The telepoll lines for the Top 10 Most Popular Male/Female Artistes will remain open till April 24, 9pm.

Each call costs S$0.80 (excluding GST) and callers bellow 18 years old must seek parental consent.

Mobile phone pre-paid card holders and overseas phone lines will not be able to call in their votes.
