Yes, a brand new martial arts drama series ‘Code Of Honour æ£ä¹‰æ¦é¦†â€™ is going to be in production really soon! Set in the 60s Singapore, the show unfolds in the Yuan Martial Arts School (元门æ¦é¦†) — a prestigious, time-honoured and one of the largest school of its kind during that time.
The leader of this school 掌门人, 元振飞, is played by Zheng Ge Ping 郑å„评.
Also starring in this 30-part series, we have our charming smile winner Elvin Ng (åƒå·§å…‹åŠ›æ—¶é—´åˆ°äº†!). In fact, we have 2 of Elvins in this show. He is casted as a pair of twins 宋亚仔 and 元晨曦. If you realise, they have different surnames and that’s because in the show, they are separated since birth and not only do they have different surnames, they are very different persons too.
元晨曦, twin of 宋亚仔, grew up in the martial arts school and thus he was also very well skilled in martial arts. 元振飞 is his father (or so he thinks) and brought him up with great love and care. However, while he was going for a competition overseas, he met with an accident with his mother and died at such young age.
宋亚仔 is a down-to-earth and honest man. Even though a tad reserved, he is well skilled in martial arts and has a strong sense of Justice. He was separated from his twin brother and was brought up in Thailand. He was called back by his mother on her deathbed and since his return, he works and stays in a fish farm, living a very simple life. 元振飞 mistook him as his son and tried to get his assistance in saving his martial arts school.
Taking on the role of the strong rival, 欧剑锋, who wishes to see the fall of 元门æ¦é¦† is Andie Chen 陈邦鋆.
This man is a very strong martial arts exponent who will do whatever it takes to blow a hole in the prestige of 元门æ¦é¦†. He will even use underhand methods to achieve his goals. Despite that, his attractive charismatic looks coupled with his great martial arts skills, he has no lack of suitors around him at all.
Playing his sister, 欧å¯ç’, is our reigning Princess of Caldecott Hill, Rui En. I think this is a very interesting combination and for that I’m already looking forward to watch the show.
欧å¯ç’ is lazy, self-indulgent and mischievious. She’s also the most half-hearted when it comes to training. 欧剑锋 instigated her to join 元门æ¦é¦† as an undercover student to snoop into their internal affairs. She quickly realises his bad intentions and did not want to assist him. She begins to take pity on 元门æ¦é¦†. As things progressed, she fell in love with 宋亚仔.

There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort. Or so they say. But for this one girl, we could not say the same. Hanging around in her cosy little home turned into an episode she will never forget.
Sha Sha, sightless since birth, was spending a quiet afternoon at her Tiong Bahru home just like any other day. But her dose of serenity was interrupted by a surprise visitor.
Clad in a crisp white shirt and a black blazer, the seemingly preppy man dropped in on Sha Sha and threatened her.
At one point, the man grabbed Sha sha, shoved her to the floor and then attempted to force-feed a drug pill to her.
Sha sha tried to push pass the cad and escape but it was to no avail. She was defenseless.
But just when her helplessness is about to make her give up, a man of the moment turned up to get her out of the tight spot!
AND… …CUT!
That was a scene in ‘On The Fringe 边缘父å’ where Rui En, who plays a visually impaired, faces dangerous man in her own home. It’s an extremely dicey situation for her especially when she can “see no evil†(pun intended)! Just keeeding! But anyways, it was an intense scene between Zhang Yao Dong and Rui En. There were shoving, pushing, force-feeding, glassbreaking, stumbling.. you get the picture. But don’t worry. Who would bear to see our ice cool princess getting hurt, would you? It was all great acting.
Throughout the day, I was looking forward to Li Nanxing. In the show he’s such a chivalrous guy (I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again), gentlemanly and courageous. Listening to his deep husky voice shouting “放开 Sha Sha!†was so gratifying. Ask the girls! they couldn’t agree more. Seriously, how many guys, almost half-a-hundred year-old, who could still charm like him?

I used to think she would be the one but I’m not so certain now of Rui En winning this year’s Star Awards 2011 Best Actress. I tried digging around and asked some judges and some names came up just as equally strong as Rui En… Ok, judges did not tell me whom they picked as Best Actress but somehow I wanted just some names they were most impressed with in my first unofficial and totally irresponsible prediction…
Zhou Ying? Do not ever underestimate this newbie! Zhou Ying is fast gaining hype as the year’s most refreshing surprise. She may yet to enjoy huge following of fans (soon) like Jeanette Aw and Rui En but that might not be the case with the judges. Judges are not fans. Hearing her name being read out is a possibility now…
The Best Actress may just go to Jeanette this year. You either love or hate her performance in ‘Breakout’. It is not a bad thing actually. Rather than a safe ‘she is ok’, Jeanette actually left quite an impression with the judges – good or bad. Let’s see if this collective impression would amount to a positive or negative one with the majority on the award’s night…
I used to think Rui En was the one and only ’unbeatable’ nominee and so 100% sure about winning this year’s ‘Best Actress’ … I now have to add Jeanette and Zhou Ying. Not that she wasn’t good in ‘With You’ but if majority of the judges felt ’she was ok’ , her chances of winning simply…
My prediction (not in any order of priority) for ‘Hot Fav’ include Rui En (still), Jeanette Aw and Zhou Ying while Chen Li Ping and Joanne Peh stay as my ‘dark horses’.

Situ Dong Cheng (Christopher Lee) and Yang Nian Qing (Jeanette Aw) are now in the lead!
For the uninitiated, votes are accumulated since 1 March 2011 and votes WILL NOT BE reset to zero and start all over again this Sunday. So every little vote counts now. Voting for Favourite Male and Female Characters will end on Sunday, 17 April 2011, at 8pm and voting for Favourite On-Screen Couple and Partners will end on the same day at 9pm.

It’s a fierce fight between currently No. 1 Yang Xiao Dong and No. 2 Yang Nian Qing for Favourite Female Character! Gee, just realised that they have the same surnames as well!

It’s Zou Jie Ming leading again with Tang Ying in Favourite On-Screen Couple with Situ Dong Cheng and Yang Nian Qing trailing behind in the 2nd position in this latest round of updates! We saw Situ Dong Cheng and Yang Nian Qing leading in Week 1 but they have since been overtaken by Zou Jie Ming and Tang Ying.

Alright, strike a pose for me, Rui En…Yah, this ’Sucker Punch’ babe (I am so into that movie) deliberately spoke in a lighter tone to soften her ‘delivery’ for the sake of playing that gentle daughter-in-law…It was so not Rui-En that the cast and crew clapped and cheered for her when it was her turn to speak…(not bad huh..)
Suddenly, she gave me this ‘Xiao Man’ look…an attitude she is probably more at ease and a role she is so dying to reprise again…yes, watch out for a darker and tortured ‘Sucker Punch’ soul in ‘Unriddle 2′ to debut in March 2012…
Hong Kong’s æŽå¸æ£‹ Li Si Qi is always the same old calm and elegant lady (I last worked with her when she came to promote ‘真情 The Kindred Spirit’ years ago)…she still enjoys shopping alot in Singapore and she was seen jumping into a cab and heading straight for Takashimaya with Jing Po Po to 血拼 again right after the press con…
Look at that young babe next to Si Qi Jie…it’s the new Cynthia Koh who lost so much weight doing this drama as the super-evil daughter-in-law…I actually find her alot softer and younger in this slimmer version… Cynthia is planning to take a looooong break from her months of continuous shooting (I don’t think so lah…you are so much on the ‘wanted’ list of all Executive Producers)…
The glamorous Belinda Lee was beaming with the ‘glow of love’ on her face…(so not the è€å§‘婆 in the drama) and yes, she told me many stars are super 抓狂 now in trying to nail that perfect and stunning outfit for Star Awards this month… (Ok, I know nobody wants to loose to Joanne Peh this year you know…who is undergoing 地狱å¼çš„身体æžé™è®ç»ƒ to present that é”鬼身æ for Star Awards night…haha…)

OK, I know I know.. Darren and Cynthia has appeared on screens as husband and wife for (I think) more than 5 times (and I’m being stingy here). But you’ve gotta give it to them for their wonderful chemistry on screen! I mean it doesn’t take much to remember all the times that I rolled over laughing at their hilarious spousal antics! That’s why, with no doubt at all, they share a real on-screen affinity!
OK, I know what you are gonna say next, Pierre and Rui En as a couple again. But hey, hold your curses! If you have watched ‘The Tale of 2 Cities ä¹åœ¨åŒåŸŽâ€™, Rui En and Pierre had proven themselves to be a great crowd-pleaser! I mean, come on, when you put one of the reigning seven princesses and one makes-your-hormones-go-crazy heartthrob in the same show, it’s definitely gonna be a great hit!
