Singapore will once again host the Nike+ Human Race 10k race this year.

Last year, the Nike+ Human Race 10k was the world’s largest event with nearly 780,000 runners taking part. This year’s multi-city event, termed as ‘the Day the World Runs’, will take place on Saturday, 24 October, 2009.

Prior to ‘the Day the World Runs’ on 24 October, a Guys Vs Girls challenge will be held via the Nike+ challenge to raise funds for Charities.

While MediaCorp Artiste Tay Ping Hui roots for the guys, Hype Records’ artiste Rui En will support the girls. The boys will run for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the girls will raise funds for the ST Pocket Money Fund.

Rui En, the ambassador for the Girls’ in the Challenge, enthused, “This challenge will allow the youths of Singapore to take part in a worthy cause while simultaneously facing a healthy challenge. Apart from running myself, I will be getting as many friends as possible to join the girls’ team so as to raise as much funds for the ST Pocket Money Fund! I want to do something for these kids!”

Tay Ping Hui, who will be captaining the Guys’ team, is equally gungho and quipped, “I’ll definitely be rounding up more people to support the guys’ team. The WWF needs our help and we guys are going to give our all!”

GUYS VS. GIRLS
Challenge

If you’re up for some competition in the name of charity, sign yourself up for the Guys vs. Girls Challenge in the run-up to Nike+ Human Race 10K. Join Rui En and MediaCorp Artiste Tay Ping Hui as they lead the gender face-off! Here’s how the challenge works:

1. Register
Login to the Nike+ website and sign up for the Guys vs. Girls Challenge from 12 Sept 2009.

2. Run
Clock miles for your gender when you run and sync your Nike+ online from 12 Sept – 24 Oct 2009. The gender that clocks the most miles wins. Simple.

3. Represent your charity
What’s the fun of a Challenge if no one’s going to benefit? So here’s the deal: the Guys will run for the ST School Pocket Money Fund, while the Girls will run for WWF for Nature. Nike will donate to the winning gender’s charity in stages:

1st Stage (12 Sept – 26 Sept):
Nike donates S$5,000 to the winning gender’s charity

2nd Stage (27 Sept – 3 Oct):
Nike donates S$5,000 to the winning gender’s charity

3rd Stage (4 Oct – 10 Oct):

SINGAPORE: MediaCorp’s blockbuster series “The Little Nyonya” and evergreen comedy “Phua Chu Kang” are making their way to the Philippines.

The airing of the programmes, dubbed in Tagalog for viewers in the Philippines, is part of a collaboration between Singapore’s leading media company MediaCorp and TV5, a prominent Philippine channel.

This is the first time a Philippine free-to-air channel has a time-belt dedicated solely to MediaCorp content. The time-belt runs for two hours from Mondays to Fridays.

All in, 520 hours of MediaCorp content will be scheduled in the first year of collaboration. After this, other MediaCorp programmes such as “Metamorphosis”, “Women of Times” and “Under One Roof” will be offered.

《全家福》演员为新剧试装，”一家人”齐齐来报到。

“一般折扇容易破裂。陈澍城在苏州旅行时，特地买了两把耐用的布制扇子…用来’管教’调皮捣蛋的瑞恩，特别管用。”

“这次扮演的是单纯的阳光女孩小冬，冰山公主瑞恩难免心怕怕。新剧未开拍，她就拼命看卡通，还到牛车水逛逛，沾染草根气息。身上印有麦克杰孙图案的12缘T恤，是她从路边摊位角色精心挑选的呢。”

“童年版小冬一到，瑞恩就忍不住偷瞄了她几眼。哦，原来是觉得小女孩长得很像儿时的自己。”

《全家福》明年1月18日起，每逢星期一至五，晚上9时，8频道播出。

据本报得知，在明年播映的新剧中，欧萱就以这两部剧成为“七公主”中最多产的公主，因为其他公主不是没有戏，就是仅有1部新剧。

陈靓瑄则投入在马来西亚电视台和新传媒合作的《星光灿烂》，而刘芷绚则会在《红白囍事》担任第二女主角。瑞恩则刚在上周开始拍摄明年的贺岁剧《全家福》。

瑞恩没空欧萱接棒？

《红白囍事》的监制兼故事人是新传媒资深监制杨锡彬，据本报探知，杨锡彬的新剧一般都会优先考虑他的御用女主角瑞恩。

可是，这次瑞恩却因为被《全家福》绑住档期，无缘参演《红白囍事》，而让欧萱得到另一部好戏。

不过，杨锡彬否认上述说法。他说，他并不是因为瑞恩没有档期才选用欧萱的，选用欧萱完全是因为欧萱和他心目中所要的人选相差不远。

杨锡彬说，他和欧萱曾合作多部电视剧，如：《任我遨游》、《幸运星》、《变奏曲》、《真心英雄》等，因此，他相信欧萱是可以胜任这个角色的。

新加坡剧一般是家庭剧，戏份是分散开来不那么集中，可能会有一两个角色重一些，但《全家福》的主角不是我，应该是瑞恩吧。

对瑞恩印象如何？
我还不认识她啊。我来新加坡的次数不超过5次，对新加坡艺人认识不多。只停留在李明顺和范文芳，新生代的我都不认识。
