Synopsis

The Worlds of Georgette Chen, a three-part doc­u­drama will premier on 29 April 2015 on Chan­nel News­Asia. It spans across three peri­ods, giving viewers an insight of the dra­matic worlds of Geor­gette Chen. These periods include the French period from 1927 to 1933 where she received her early art education; the Chinese/Hong Kong period from 1934 to 1948; and the Penang/Singapore period from 1950 to 1980.

Being inspired by her sur­round­ings, Geor­gette pro­duced por­traits and still lifes from each phase. She per­fec­ted her tech­nique and taught at the Nan­yang Academy of Fine Arts.

Rui En had initially felt intimidated by art thinking that it was a field beyond her. In preparation for her role as Georgette Chen, she researched the various documents and letters detailing the life of Georgette, and in the process discovered a personal connection with the artist.

RBKD:《红星大奖2015》第一场颁奖礼话题连连，其中包括瑞恩“黑脸”事件。但她过后解释是因为不习惯被摆上台所以不自在。i周刊也发现她其实在台上有露出笑容，只是没被拍到。当天的亮点还有扮演瑞恩的庞蕾馨，非常搞笑，瑞恩看了也笑得很乐。

RBKD: 经过第一场颁奖礼的洗礼，瑞恩在Show 2前已调整好心理，并重申自己没有不尊重大会。当晚，她穿上Zuhair Murad的礼服，展现柔美一面。她也顺利获得第十座“十大最受欢迎女艺人”，明年准备上神台。

RBKD: 8 DAYS find the funniest segment of the night was the Seven Princesses skit where Kate Pang did a spot-on send-up of Rui En. With regards to her ‘black face’ on stage, it was interpreted as a defensive expression as she was unsure what might the hosts ask her to do. It had nothing to do with losing awards.

Show 2

RBKD: Rui En won her final Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste. While on stage giving her speech, she addressed her behaviour at Show 1 as she is not someone who likes to laugh and be fake. On that night, she was dressed in a gorgeous Zuhair Murad dress.

At backstage, she was caught sharing a quiet prayer with her hairstylist Calvin Gan.
