Ever since Singapore-based label Zardozë entered the fashion scene in 2011, all eyes have been on them. The brand has since gone on to recruit 2011 Star Creation winner Chen Zhigang as lead designer, as well as Parsons graduate and reality show The Apartment participant John Paul Rangel as Creative Director.

The Zardozë Panthea line is marketed as the high-fashion sister to the brand’s ready-to-wear line, so there was an instantaneous change in mood and design when the runway switched up for the Panthea show.

We say kudos to the designers for coming up with daring and sometimes provocative creations (like the red and black dress below). The painstaking embroidery and embellishments which have become a brand signature really stood out on the runway.

However, as these gowns are obviously meant for red carpet appearances and gala dinners, the brand still has room to develop its knowledge about what sort of cuts and fabrics will find favour with their desired clientele.

That said, we do think that famous front-row attendees Rui En and Fann Wong did look every inch the Caldecott princesses they are, decked out in custom Zardozë creations. Designs fit for Singapore acting royalty, we say.

2013 is shaping up to be a good year for Singaporean star Rui En. Not only has the 32-year-old picked up the coveted Best Actress acolade at the recent Star Awards 2013, L’Oreal Paris has recently announced that the fresh-faced beauty will be joining the ranks of international superstars as one of the faces for their brand.
The self-confessed skincare fanatic needs to be constantly camera-ready and Rui En shares, “I am always tempted to try new skincare products. It becomes important that my skin is able to absorb the full benefits of all of these treatments. Youth Code helps me achieve that.”

In a nutshell, the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Boosting Essence is a pre-serum step that should be taken after you’ve washed your face at the end of the day.

Using patented Pro-Genâ„¢ Technology to promote cellular renewal, applying the Boosting Essence before you put on any sort of moisturiser will help improve your skin’s ability to absorb the product(s) better.

On how Boosting Essence has made a difference to her skincare routine, Rui En says, “I use a sheet mask every night when I’m filming, and realized that when I apply Youth Code under it, it makes the treatment much more effective. I see improved glow and moisture [sic] immediately after. It is now a must-have in my skincare regime.”
