In the first of our three-part Star Award winners’ prediction, we give you an insight on who we think would bring home the trophies at the upcoming Star Awards 2011 Show 1.

For the past three Mondays, we have given you updates on who was leading in the online polls and Top 10 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed.

This Sunday, Star Awards 2011 Show 1 will reveal who the winners are and you, the viewers, are the ones to decide who gets the sweet prize.

If you’ve been anxiously watching your favourite celebs fall in and out of the top spots, you’re not alone.

We, at xinmsn, are getting a little dizzy ourselves, as we watched Christopher Lee and Jeanette Aw take top spot in the Favourite On-screen Couple (Drama) during the first week, only to lose out to Elvin Ng and Zhou Ying in the following weeks.

But the power to control the results lies in your hands. Would it be Chris and Jeanette or Elvin and Zhou Ying in the end?

Well, we don’t know either; but we’re gonna be bold again this year and read the stars to round up the celebs most likely to take home the coveted trophies.

In the first of a three-part series, we make our guesses for the Favourite Male and Female Characters, Favourite On-screen Couple (Drama), Favourite On-screen Partners (Variety) and the Rocket Award.

Favourite Female Character

The stars say …

Rui En. It has to be Rui En, right? After all, the ice princess reigned the chart, neck-to-neck or not, in the past three weeks.

She might be known as the ice princess, but Rui En’s candidness may just be the reason behind her large following; and her fans had definitely worked hard at in the lead.

Rui En played happy-go-lucky Yang Xiao Dong in Happy Family, which was a refreshing change (if you ask us) to see the actress sporting short hair and looking unsophisticated.

The dark horse

This is a popularity contest after all and we know another princess Jeanette Aw has a huge legion of loyal fans. So we think it’s definitely going to be Jeanette; she has kept up with Rui En throughout the voting.

Fans aside, Jeanette definitely unleashed her acting chops when she played Yang Nianqing, who has not one, but four different personalities, in mega-drama Breakout. One moment, she was conniving and cruel; in another, she was sweet and sugary.

How can we forget Nianqing with a glass of red wine in her hand as she carelessly said “You’re such a fool”?

《红星大奖2011》进入倒数阶段，网上投选和”年度飞跃奖”得奖名单后天（17日）公布，xinmsn挑出心中人选，邹杰明和杨小冬十拿九稳！

由xinmsn鼎力推动的4个网上投选奖项，从3月1日开战以来，受到网民们的热烈回响，竞争激烈。有些入围者在榜首坐得安稳，另一些却随时可能被踢走。

xinmsn依据前几周的成绩，做出以下分析预测：

最喜爱女角色：《过好年》杨小冬（瑞恩饰）
黑马：《破天网》杨念青（欧萱饰）

自家人对打，各有强大粉丝阵容，从一开始即是两人的厮杀，其他入围者根本不用拚。

不过，相对于精神分裂的杨念青，天真的杨小冬显然更受喜爱，这几周都处于领先位置。

此外，《过好年》算是个好开始，让瑞恩摆脱以往酷女形象，之后在《我在你左右》和《乐在双城》中，顺利挑战性格迥然不同的角色。

这样的转变，肯定了她的演技，也为她吸引了更多粉丝。

可是，不要忘了，欧萱去年成功打败多位女艺人，包括阿姐范文芳和以3个角色入围的陈靓瑄。这次的劲敌瑞恩，也是她的手下败将。

这场斗争，会一直进行到颁奖礼当晚。但xinmsn认为，瑞恩最终仍会拔得头筹。

黑马：《破天网》邹杰明和汤颖（黄俊雄和周颖饰）

这应该是网上投选奖项中竞争最激烈的一项，从投票开始以来，彼此拉持不分高下。首周榜首由李铭顺和欧萱夺下，上两周则由黄俊雄和周颖称霸。根据最新战况（4月15日），李铭顺和欧萱成功抢回领先位置，可见双方支持者有多积极。

其实，以投票粉丝群的局势来看，这比较像是黄俊雄vs欧萱的比赛。

黄俊雄的”最喜爱男角色”奖项万无一失，但欧萱则可能失去”最喜爱女角色”。所以，萱迷或许会将火力全注入”最喜爱银幕情侣”此奖，至少不让偶像空手而归。

依xinmsn的调查，两对票数相差不多，局势随时都可能扭转，但如果投票以目前走势持续下去，李铭顺和欧萱应该会险胜。

Brace yourselves for the shocking news… cos….

Just barely 3 days away from Show 1 to be held this Sunday….

Zou Jie Ming (Elvin Ng) and Tang Ying (Zhou Ying) have now dropped to No. 2 in Favourite On-screen Couple (Drama) category! This couple has been in the lead for the past 2 weeks and in a dramatic twist of events…

Situ Dong Cheng (Christopher Lee) and Yang Nian Qing (Jeanette Aw) are now in the lead!

For the uninitiated, votes are accumulated since 1 March 2011 and votes WILL NOT BE reset to zero and start all over again this Sunday. So every little vote counts now. Voting for Favourite Male and Female Characters will end on Sunday, 17 April 2011, at 8pm and voting for Favourite On-Screen Couple and Partners will end on the same day at 9pm.

In the meantime, the situation for the other online awards remains status quo:

Rank 2: Yang Nian Qing (Jeanette Aw)

Some furious clicking is going on these few days cos there have been complaints from voters that they have been experiencing slow responses or error messages from the xinmsn voting engine. We all know who has been leading in the Star Awards Online Awards for the past 2 weeks. For a twist, we are going to reveal who is No. 1 and No. 2 this week! That should give you guys an idea who might catch up.

Fierce Fight Between The Yang Sisters!

It’s a fierce fight between currently No. 1 Yang Xiao Dong and No. 2 Yang Nian Qing for Favourite Female Character! Gee, just realised that they have the same surnames as well!

Will there be a tie? What’s going to happen if there’s a tie? The hosts will probably announce: “Let’s invite the Yang sisters onstage!” :p

The Unbeatable Favourite On-Screen Couple!

It’s Zou Jie Ming leading again with Tang Ying in Favourite On-Screen Couple with Situ Dong Cheng and Yang Nian Qing trailing behind in the 2nd position in this latest round of updates! We saw Situ Dong Cheng and Yang Nian Qing leading in Week 1 but they have since been overtaken by Zou Jie Ming and Tang Ying.

We will be providing the final round of updates in another couple of days as we are now in the final lap leading to Star Awards Show 1 this Sunday. Will there be a dramatic twist to the final results? Will your idol(s) make it onstage? It’s all in your hands and fingers (and toes)!!!

It will be an extremely tough fight between the duo who are ranked ahead of their peers in the Online Awards powered by xinmsn for Favourite Female Character

Fervent supporters who have been anxiously rooting for their idols by voting daily can now breathe a little easier. For the past two weeks, fans were given a little glimpse into the plausible outcome of the Star Awards 2011 Online Awards.

To up the ante and excitement this time round, we are giving you an additional peek at how these artistes are faring at the charts. So, stay up to speed on the leading two nominees at the online polls and let your fingers do the rest of the work!

Going strong with a three-week leading streak, Rui En (Happy Family) and Elvin Ng (Breakout) continue to dominate the top spots for Favourite Female and Male Character respectively. Their competitors have — so far — proved to be of no competition against these two artistes’ wide-reaching fan bases.

Coming in close behind Rui En and Elvin Ng would be Jeanette Aw (Breakout) and Qi Yu Wu (The Family Court) for Favourite Female and Male Character respectively.

Moving on to one of the night’s most highly-anticipated categories – the Top 21 Most Popular Artistes, we see little or zero changes made to the male and female nomination list.

Shanghainese lass Zhou Ying fails to maintain her position in the currently-leading top 10 spots with Michelle Chia gaining traction and making it into the list. The current Top 10 Male Artiste in the lead remains the same.

Current Top 10 Female Artistes are Ann Kok, Jeanette Aw, Joanne Peh, Lim Pei Fen, Michelle Chia, Quan Yi Fong, Rui En, Tiffany Leong, Vivian Lai and Yvonne Lim.

一名母亲申诉，粉丝会在分发红星大奖门票时，强制13岁女儿购买T恤和标语板，等于是在变相售卖免费门票。

陈女士致函透露，她女儿很想出席红星大奖颁奖礼，但向新传媒索票时，被告知门票已全部发完，后来改而通过瑞恩的“瑞不可当粉丝会”索票。

“女儿来向我要钱，让我很震惊，因为我以为票是免费的。”

陈女士指出，条例要求申请者必须穿粉丝会的T恤、拿着粉丝会制作的标语板，才能和粉丝会一起出席颁奖礼。

据了解，非会员购买粉丝会T恤的价格约两件40元(约92令吉)、标语板则约10元(约23令吉)，这意味着陈女士的女儿必须花费约50元(约105令吉)，才有可能和粉丝会一起出席颁奖礼。

陈女士指出，她发现其他粉丝会多数都只把票给会员，不会开放给非会员，“瑞不可当粉丝会”的做法，等于是在变相售卖免费门票，让她觉得难以接受，已拒绝让女儿出席。

会长：一场误会

“瑞不可当粉丝会”会长白欣怡表示，协会出席颁奖礼是要支持瑞恩，作为一个团队，需要配有统一的服装和支持瑞恩的标语板，才会要求出席者必须备有这两样东西。

白欣怡说：“门票在发放时以会员优先，会员多数都已有这些东西。我们考虑到万一发给会员后还有剩余，可以给支持瑞恩的非会员，才会允许非会员申请，并提醒他们需要备有T恤和标语板。”

“但我们从来没想过要通过这些东西赚钱，这完全是一场误会。”

新传媒：不会干预

另一方面，新传媒中文节目与宣传企划部副总裁陈国明透露，红星大奖的门票中部分会给赞助商、部分给艺人的粉丝会、其余的公众则可通过致函新传媒获取。

“目前门票已经全部发完，交给赞助商和粉丝会的门票，则由他们自己决定如何分配。”
