《联合早报》上周爆出新传媒将暂停拍摄8频道7点半档长篇剧，目前还在热播的《老友万岁》或将是本地最后一部长剧。消息传开后引起议论，主要是因为《老》走险棋出险招，播出后口碑与收视皆不俗，让许多观众纷表惋惜与不舍。

《老友万岁》收视比《你那边怎样》还OK

《老友万岁》下月130集将播完，8频道一直没有宣布接棒的长篇剧，显见停拍长剧的决策一早定下，也显示决策人似乎也看走眼，没有预见《老》的潜能。

据记者了解，以老人院为题材的《老友万岁》，播出后收视率一直稳定，虽然无法跟几年前的高数字比，但却能止跌。尤其令人意外的是，7点半档的收视向来比9点档低，但是《老》竟然偶尔比新台合制的大制作《你那边怎样，我这边OK》还高。

留意本地剧走向的圈内人指出《老》成功在几点：

一、剧情不落窠臼有新意，贴近民生；

二、制作上也抛开旧框框，在包装和摄影各方面令人耳目一新；

三、在演员配搭方面，老戏骨如朱厚任、陈澍城、陈建彬、刘谦益，以及演技派陈莉萍、陈汉玮的参演，都功不可没。

四、在主角方面，用瑞恩搭档徐彬属于不按牌理出牌，《老》起初并不受看好，一来两人外形不太登对，二来瑞恩休息一年回归，身形没有清减多少，之前形象还略带负面，徐彬则是首登男一号，演技也未受肯定。没想到《老》在监制王尤红、故事人谢俊源打造下，两名主角都很争气，尤其徐彬还撕掉了“没演技”的标签。
