RBKD: Quick update, so this year, Star Awards 2018 ups its game and is going all tech by having a special 3D Hologram segment for all the “All Time Favourite Artistes”. This means the artistes have to participate in a special photoshoot in front of a green screen. We wonder what the end-product would look like but before then, here’s some fabulous BTS shots of Rui En at the shoot.

Mediacorp’s content distribution team has sold the digital rights for three dramas to the Chinese platform Youku.
Patisserie Fighting, The Dream Makers 2 and When Duty Calls have been picked up for China’s online video market. The dramas are slated to become available via Youku in the second quarter.
Suzie Wang, the VP of content distribution at Mediacorp, said, “Changing consumer behavior has altered viewing habits, and we have seen an increasing demand for good content by major OTT players around the world. We are glad to reach out to Chinese video streaming giants such as Youku, which enjoys a huge base of active subscribers.â€

RBKD: It was Rui En’s birthday last Monday (Jan 29) and her “kor†Dennis posted a throwback photo of them, with his well wishes, kindly translated by Toggle’s team into English: “Little sister! Wishing you a happy birthday! You are the most beautiful and most outstanding angel, which many people already know aboutâ€, he wrote, urging her to continue lighting up the world with her sunny, positive outlook on life. Awww, isn’t he the sweetest?

RBKD: So 8Days said that this year, it’s not so much about who’s in as compared to who’s out. After seven consecutive Best Actress noms (and two Best Actress wins), Rui En, who starred in Have A Little Faith, is MIA from this year’s Best Actress list. Certainly comforting to know that they are missing her as much as we do, isn’t it? ;)
