《警徽天职5之海岸卫队》今晚播出大结局，《警徽》系列八年拍了五季，是续集拍得最频密的本地剧。水平普通的戏能一部部拍，因官方资金支持及新加坡警察的正面形象深入民心。

《警5》故事与角色和前四季并无延续性，核心单位从陆地部队改成海岸卫队。《警4》剧情已露疲态，角色与故事都走到尽头，《警5》换了新部门，但内容仍换汤不换药。

警匪片的一大特色是节奏紧凑。除拍摄与剪辑须快狠准，剧情发展往往更是扑朔迷离，让观众看得紧张，肾上腺素上升。可惜《警5》节奏太慢，剧情太多巧合，都在预料之内，毫无惊喜可言。作为警匪片，《警5》是极度不合格。

《警徽》系列曾有过好作品，《警2》就是全系列最佳。《警2》无论在故事、动作、悬疑方面都做足了，尤其文质彬彬的方展发被揭穿是有恋童癖的心理医生时，观众都吓疯了。

《警5》把先前都演了三季的李南星、瑞恩、白薇秀、戚玉武、黄俊雄换成方展发及林慧玲，明星阵容最弱。

女主角林慧玲表现一如既往，不突出，并没有非她不可的看点。或许因情意结，会觉得少了瑞恩和白薇秀有些可惜。
