Xinmsn: The beautiful and ugly sides of life in showbiz

RBKD: Life Is Beautiful, a collaboration between MediaCorp and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), hopes to raise awareness of kidney-related diseases. In the show, Shen Chuyi (Rui En), an optimistic girl is suddenly stricken with both kidney failure and the accidental death of her best friend, Cai Jiayi (Esther Yang). She eventually learns how to conquer her illness and find happiness again, with the help of the latter’s fiancé, Yu Yang (Pierre Png).
