In a wink-wink art-imitates-life moment, her character, a variety show producer-turned-actress, is up in arms when she gets wind that she may appear in a rape scene. “No way will I shoot [that],” she protests. “They can call me unprofessional but I have my principles.” Fans will know that this is a not-too-subtle reference to Rui En’s real-life stance against filming rape scenes.
