Story: Tan Yi Hui
Cliffhangers
A second season of the popular police drama C.L.I.F returns next year with a fresh cast – in addition to ‘old-timers’ Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu.
The cops were out in full force on Caldecott Hill last week, but fret not, no celeb was caught misbehaving. They were just actors getting ready for the lensing ceremony for Ch 8 blockbuster C.L.I.F 2, which debuts next February. Here’s what you can expect from the second season of the hit police drama, shot in collaboration with the Singapore Police Force.
1. Different Faces
Only two members of the original cast are returning – Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu. But there’s enough star power in this one to make up for the absence of Tay Ping Hui and Elvin Ng, who, according to producers, couldn’t reprise their roles due to scheduling conflicts. The new recruits include Li Nanxing, Rui En, Pierre Png and Thomas Ong.
2. Same action, more drama
“There will be drama in everyone’s family!” guarantees the show’s executive producer. Scriptwriters also have more room this season to expand each character’s storyline, so expect to see lots of emotionally-wrought scenes.
