Little is known about the lives of Singapore former-actresses Madeline Chu and Cherie Lim after they quit showbiz years ago.
Just what have they been doing after walking away from the bright lights of showbiz?
The production team of the upcoming special variety show “Star Reunion” have tracked them down and paid them a visit to find out.
Hosted by Quan Yi Feng, “Star Reunion” will bring audiences on a journey to discover what sort of lives the stars of yesteryear like Chu, Lim, Zeng Hui Fen and Chen Xiu Huan, are leading now, when it makes its debut on Friday, 8pm on Channel 8.
“Star Reunion” will kick off a series of television programmes and special events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of local drama.
Aside from the commemorative blockbuster dramas “Joys of Life” and “It Takes Two”, a special concert will be held in July, where stars like Eric Moo, Power Station and Mavis Hee will perform popular drama theme songs.
It will be followed by a massive thee-hour televised gala show in November to celebrate this milestone in local television.
