L’Oreal Paris first local spokesperson
In an unprecedented move, the French beauty giant has selected the local actress to front its consumer cosmetics line in Singapore, an honour once saved for global stars like Jennifer Lopez or Fan Bing Bing.
“Rui En, in her own unique way, is the quintessential L’Oreal Paris woman. She is passionate about work and stands strongly for her beliefs. We like how she is versatile with the looks we create for her. We have a good working relationship with her and will continue to look at opportunities to take this further,” says Shermain Chen, senior product manager for L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise & Cosmetics.
In the campaign, Rui En wears the intense Color Riche lipstick and Gelmatic eyeliners for a modern glamorous look, which is a stark contrast to the usually minimalist aesthetic she sports. The actress says of the campaign: “It has made me more adventurous with daily make-up. Now I know how to better create different looks, simply with a swipe of coloured eyeliner or a different shade of lipstick. The turquoise eyeliner, especially, was very refreshing.”
