Yongxuan

Do you still remember Yongxuan? The brave little girl born with osteogenesis imperfecta (also known as brittle bone disease), whom Rui En and Chen Liping met last year in Joy Truck Season 2?

In the opening episode of Joy Truck season 3, the team revisits Yongxuan and it is really nice to know that she is growing up well, jovial and her condition has been improving. We wish her all the best, fighting!

Jade

In the same recap, Joy Truck also revisited Jade, who suffers from bone cancer and her family was faced with the tough decision of amputating her right hand.

While Rui En wasn’t the celebrity ambassador for Jade’s episode on Joy Truck season 2, fans might remember seeing a post by Mark Lee last year, when Rui En visited Jade at the hospital in her private capacity.

It is heartening to know that Jade has completed her chemotherapy and she is preparing to return to school. We wish her good health and happiness always!
