Don’t blame me if you chose not to come.

Truth is, I was only informed of her attendance on Wednesday.

Truth is, I didn’t let anyone else including Bee and Xaby know about it.

Truth is, among all others I have organised,  this is the very first gathering that she has attended.

Truth is, I’m more used to her absence than presence.

Truth is, she was always busy with filming in the previous gatherings I organised, and I rather she was filming yesterday too.

And truth is also that, we will never use her as a tool to attract participants or to hike up price to fund the club with the profit like what other FCs does. (Perhaps this is something I should learn from other FCs? Forsake quality so that the club can profit from it?)

And lastly, truth is, I have never stopped anyone from joining us, you made your own choice, your own decision. “Reward” awaits those who are sincere. Too bad for those who had to leave earlier though.

Dream Team?

If you group the top leaders of the world together, thinking that you have secured a dream team, I would have to disagree. There is this desire in leaders that makes them unwilling to work under others, unless the party proved to be a better/stronger leader (that’s not always the case for everyone though). And when all leaders so wanna prove their worth, clashes and politics result; would this be more of a hinderance or help?

Butcher of the day

Dreads. I need to pound the pork. I shall imagine each of your face there on each slice of meat and pound it as like those da-xiao-ren action.. Haha!

Anyway, to those who have tried my pork chops before, oh please, don’t have any expectation. Because the thing with my pork chops is that I never had any recipe! Haha. And to those who have never tried it before, *You shall not remember that it was prepared by me*.

I promise I will remember to call 995 instead of 993 should anyone’s butt get stuck in the toilet bowl :D Haha..

33.

Woah. Are we so fated with that number? Well, on last count, that’s my expected total turnout for the chalet. Quite a feat isn’t it? Especially since we can’t even confirm her attendance. Thanks everyone, really, thanks.

BTW if I sounded too harsh in my earlier post, I apologize for that. I just need to get the message through and Fish Monger was too sleepy to write in a nicer tone. No worries :)

Kindly take note?

Hi all, would appreciate if in future when RBKD has any outing/gathering/activity, please leave it to us to invite RE. Yes, I don’t appreciate others inviting on our behalf (committee), worse still if it’s without our knowledge. We may have made arrangements or agreements with Hype and by doing so, you might be subjecting her to a difficult situation especially since her working schedule is seldom fixed.

As for the chalet, I have extended our invitation to both her and minmin, but minmin would only be able to confirm on the day itself. So please, don’t ask me anymore if she would be there. I don’t know and I won’t say either.

I know that none of you are attending this chalet because you think that RE would be there, if that’s the case, please don’t do things that mislead us into thinking all you want is for RE to be there. Yes it could out of goodwill, but whatever you “discuss”  with RE, you should know that if even you don’t have the basic respect to notify us, why should Hype report to us?

So in future if she fills you in with any information because she see you as part of the club, please direct her to us or at least update/notify us? And please leave all invitations and discussions to us and Hype, we would appreciate that. Thanks.

This is a fan club..

This is a fan club that queues at 6am.

This is a fan club that picks up litter.

This is a fan club that befriends uncles.

This is a fan club that relies more on self than Hype.

This is a fan club that does half squats just to offer others a better view.

This is a fan club that has a study group, with more tutors than tutees.

This is a fan club that made their own red ribbons to distribute.

This is a fan club that was probably the first FC to visit AIDS PCC.

This is a fan club that hangs around not just when RE’s around.

This is a fan club that will cheer out loud, even if throats are sore.

This is a fan club that has more than half its members, exclusive to us.

This is a fan club that is so unique, I wonder who exactly we are.

The other 16hours.

More pictures!!!

Toldya we were there at 6.20am :)

This is how we booked our area.

How did we managed to “tell” everyone “we are from RE FC”? By sticking them to the barricades! :D

I think the older singers appreciated us. We waved our boards and swayed to their music even though we didn’t understand. They smiled, waved back and walked towards our side, Calvin Soh even gave us a thumbs-up, praising us: “你们, 好!”.

YL & Shir were made to squat down while the RUDE fans of the Pig pushed us against the barricades. Show was so close to us (2m away) that Shir had eye contact with him, he was probably puzzled to see 2 pairs of eyes “behind the bars”.

That’s all for the event I suppose? No wish to dirty this blog with the ugly behavior of the outsiders.

In case you didn’t hear clearly, we shouted: “瑞恩, 你的关怀是阳光!”

Amazing how loud we could be when we only had 15 of us.

The 16hours LR RE Boards

Pictures!!!

The start of the 16hours Mathematical and Craft work challenge.

Working out the sums.

Thank goodness we didn’t fail Math!

This is what happens when we don’t have stencils or projection. Potential O-levels E-Math question?

The complete set of L RE Boards (We kept the R set because there’s insufficient space)

The group of us who were there.

Here’s us at work (Note: There’s a classic pic at the end):

I look so siwen with my specs hor? But this isn’t the classic pic I’m referring to.. *drum rolls* Look down for the classic pic!

Disclaimer: That’s not me in photo :)

(3 more photos of the boards to be uploaded later)

2 Questions you should not ask me.

王德远: “你为什么喜欢瑞恩?”
Me: o.o!!! 就喜欢咯..
王德远: 你有什么话要告诉瑞恩?
Me: O.O!!! *dumbfounded*
Someone beside me: “瑞恩 我爱你!”

Maybe I should appoint an official spokesperson for RBKD, so that the mic won’t be automatically in front of me every time. Do I look like I am those who will scream “瑞恩 我爱你!” duh?

Yes, we are from RUI EN FAN CLUB.

I lost count on the number of times people called us “RUI EN FAN CLUB” last night. We stuck our RBKD RE boards on the barricades so that no one will mistook us as pig’s fans (in black too).

The best thing was, we occupied such a prime spot that everyone knew where to find “RE FC”.

2 girls: “RE FC right? We saw her, she has arrived.” *walks off* (Eh?).

Ken Lim: “You are from RE FC? blah blah blah. Where’s Jeanette’s?”

Crew: “RE FC? We have rice for you.”
Us: “HUH??? O.O??? Why don’t you give half to Jeanette’s FC instead?”
Crew:
“Oh ok. Where are they?

9Kong uncle: 你们是瑞恩的啊? 欧萱的嘞? 为什么不叫他们站在你们的旁边? 可以打架..”

Pig’s fans on phone: “我们在 RE FC 后面”, “我们在 RE FC 旁边”, “我们6点来,还在REçš„FC后面..”, “RE FC吗? 等一下可不可以..”

We took pics of our super AA boards at the bus interchange after the event, passerbys exclaimed: “Wah, RUI EN!”. Some were so taken aback they literally moved a step backwards when they saw our boards.

Mission Super-AA-ness, accomplished with distinctions :D

The Uncles.

1. The Malay Security Guard kept telling us, “he is a fan, but we are fanatic”. And he calls her “Ru En”. But he was real nice, he asked if we wanted drinking water and next, he returned with 7 cups of those sealed drinking water. Thank you!

2. And there’s this comchest uncle who was disapproving of us chasing idols I think. However at the end, he praised us and said something like “You all support Rui En, I support you all support her“. Why? Because he saw us picking up litter left behind by us and the pig’s fans after the event. Most ran off to the backstage but the group of us stayed on to help clear the mess. I guess we did impress him so much that he was all smiles when he saw us at the bus interchange later on, so different from his sceptical look all night :D

3. And there’s this uncle whom we first “knew” from the Vivo Countdown, who was so so so so so so so so nice. Not only did he chats with us, he also got our boards shown on national TV! Our spot was good but not camera friendly and we refused to move. But thanks to the cameraman uncle aka 九孔uncle, who walked down specially to film our boards when RE sang because we requested him to, we managed to get ourselves seen+heard (16hours spent on boards and another 13 on queueing was not wasted after all). Thanks uncle!!!

But isn’t it interesting that we are actually “befriending” uncles? Haha.

7:37am

So what am I doing here? My 2 very committed sub-comm members – Shirley and Grace, are now stoning at TPY HDB Hub. They reached there an hour ago. My heart was with them, so I woke up 2hours ago, now they are waiting for me to head down while I’m awaiting my opportunity to head out without explaining myself. I don’t like to explain myself la.

Poor Bee.. Stuck in Msia and poor Xaby.. free labour for the day again at expo..

Don’t doubt that.

What we lack in terms of money, we made it up double with our time, effort and sincerity. We don’t have fanciful LED boards or full color printed A1/A0 boards, but you have US (Not America, not GHG album aka U.S., but US as in US). So don’t doubt that :)

I’m typing with my fingers still in pain from 2days of hard work.. And I hope everyone who had slogged together with me for the past 2 days have a good sleep today.

Siao! My 16hours!!!

I must be mad. They must be mad. I just reached home 28minutes ago, 10minutes journey back so I spent a total of 11hours (12nn-11:10pm) today, and 5hours yesterday (16hours in total???); Collen and Shirley are still on their train back. And not forgetting Grace, Yanling and Candice who wasted at least 10hours with us too. And Xaby and Phyllis who came down for the 2hours. Sorry I can’t take more people because too many cooks spoil the soup.

What did we do? You will know after 6pm tomorrow. We must be mad. And please, we will be extremely irritable tomorrow, don’t test us. Thanks. I will blog more with PICTURES (1st time on seemenot?) and details tomorrow (or Monday).

Tired.

Tired. This means I don’t plan to head down to Toa Payoh later on, so what it’s just 10min ride away. If my evening is available later, I am so parking at my sofa, just nua there and do nothing. As for RG on Sunday, my answer would be a HUH??? look on my face. So what’s the likelihood I would be there? Let’s just say I will only go if its necessary and right now, nothing suggests that I’m needed there. Haha. Tired!

这是个不能说的秘密.

I secretly hope that everyone will go for night cycling next thursday, at least enough participants for night cycling trip to leave one bed (best if its 1 whole room though) all to myself. You better let me have my sleep, because snail’s a scarier snail when she doesnt get her sleep.

Ouch! My Butt.

Am always so tired after an IPC activity. Today was quite interesting, even if it was kinda difficult to communicate or know each other better while cycling. There were a few scares when people fell and “Road Hazard Candice” caused quite a few near-accidents. Still, most of us returned in 1 full piece, but with painful butts and lotsa mozzie bites (<< eee yucks!). Anyone for night cycling next week? Haha.

I don’t feel a thing.

I don’t feel a thing, but I’m worried. There’s only 12 dramas this year and none of the top10 would be hers. Tell us how to survive the rest of the year without news. Where’s that great year ahead? Wonderful wonderful, and I don’t mean it.

Minimum age?

Age is a numeral assigned to assumptions, at least in this post.

We assume kids under three regard everything in the world as edible, hence we have the label “Not for kids under 3”.

We assume kids start to use their brain only after 6, hence we have toys labelled “Only for kids 6 and above”.

And next we assume that anyone who is younger than 16 is still a child, therefore we have “NC-16” (No Children under 16).

We also assume that the age of 18 symbolises adulthood (legally?) yet certain matters such as marriage and contractual agreements still require guardian consent if you are below 21.

Think that you are as free as a bird when you hit 21? Not quite. There’s still a list of numerals which would certainly bores everyone should I type them out.

We live in an age defined by our age, it’s probably the most convenient gauge for most issues, but at times there might just be exceptions.

Honestly I’m not sure what exactly should be the “bearable” minimum age. If you ask for my take, then perhaps anyone without their NRIC would be just too young; then again, it’s their life, not mine. I’m nobody to decide and I’m certainly not interested to do so either.

So just how young is not too young for us; that I still have no answer to.
