Losing its tail wont kill the lizard, but it hurts?

So does it?

We all know that lizards can lose their tails and regrow it, but previously, I never thought that would hurt them.

I mean if something is so easily lost, it can’t be precious enough to hurt much isn’t it? And if nature designed lizards in such a way that they could escape death by losing their tail, why would it still hurt? But so as it seems, when nature designs something, they don’t give you anything extra without taking thing(s) away. So when it returned the lizards their tails, nature make them suffer the pain. It’s a gain to them, to escape death, but the pain must be incurred.

Sometimes, we ought to care more for the ones around us. Just because they can regrow their “tails” doesn’t mean it won’t hurt. Right?

Change, the only thing unchanged.

Some things change and others don’t, but perhaps at times, they all do?

While we are dragged along by changes, gripping and adapting to the changes, let us not forget the beliefs we once held, the reasons, explanations and excuses we conjured just to make things sound right and logical.

But honestly, we are often powerless in front of changes. Prevention is perhaps really better than cure, but we never know if we don’t try.

No forum to stalk, go to the nearest news stand and grab a copy then :)

Where would you be?

Where were you last year today and where will you be next year today? Do you see yourself continuing what you are doing today or to be doing something totally different? Sometimes it may be continuing what you previously did and to discontinue what you are currently doing, but at other times, it may just be something you have never tried.

Why plan so ahead when we all live in the present and not the future or the past?

To not remember or to forget.

At times when we don’t remember something, we claim that we have forgotten. Other times, when we forget about them, we claim we don’t remember.

Now the question is, are the two terms interchangeable or are they different?

We don’t remember something if we have never committed it to our memory; we can only forget something only if it was ever committed to our memory, right? No?

Just a random thought, from a forgetful person.

To give or to take?

The outright answer might be to take than to give. After all, to give is assumed to forgo something while to take is assumed to gain something.

Noticed I assumed the above?

There are people who wish they could inherit someone’s fortune, but what if you inherited someone’s debt instead?

So is receiving necessarily better than giving?

Anyone remembers Newton’s 3rd law? That there’s always an equal and opposite force acting on the original force itself?

I’m left wondering if perhaps the same logic applies to giving and in receiving? But sometimes, this equal and opposite effect doesn’t come immediately, for a dollar coin you give to that old lady today may be a dollar coin given to you when you lose your wallet some other day.

Whether or not this accounting book of ours balances, that we might never know; but it does exist, because no one can just keep on receiving without giving up something, vice versa. There must be some positive and negative sums there.

So sometimes, it’s best to give while you still could, better than being on the receiving end isn’t it?

PS: I’m just blogging for the sake of blogging. Sorry if it’s not good enough.

To be selfless could be an act of selfishness.

“For as long as you could”, “It’s not if you should, but if you shouldn’t”, “You are not obliged to”; but what about “if I want to”?

The previous post should have taught us never to super impose our thoughts on others, the likewise goes on for so called acts of selflessness. Still, it is better to be selfish because of a self-thought selfless act than to be selfish altogether.

It is the same idea as to regret what you have done than to regret what you have not done, isn’t it?

I’m losing that “touch” to blog because I have to lose the agenda to blog here. Get used to it. Any post, could be the last.

Don’t move the Snail.

Yes, I hate people who move the snails, especially those who thought they are helping the snails by doing so.

Imagine this snail spending 5hours to reach its current point, just because it decided to spend 5minutes to turn around for a last look, you thought it was heading to that direction (to where it moved out from) and decided to give it a hand. Tadah! 5hours of hardwork gone in a minute of your time, with the snail having to work for another 5hours again.

What makes you so sure that people needs a helping hand even when no one is requesting so? This world doesn’t need a saviour, this world needs a population that can help themselves.

I’m not asking anyone to be less considerate, but the next time you wish to be considerate, shouldn’t you try to understand and find out more, before doing things that you thought would be considerate but in actual fact it’s not?

Sour Mango.

Okay maybe I do sound like a saddist, but of the 9 mangoes we purchased, there was only 1 that was sour (i think). So of the 20cups, there’s only 2 which had the sour mango, but your lucky idol tio beh bio, she was handed one of the two I think. OMG, I must be a saddist.

Look at her expression :/

How would you like your chicken done?

We will soon know what type of Chicken would be offered to us, having something is always better than nothing. And the wait will not spread beyond monday, at least that’s what the “waiter” said.

“Don’t count your chickens before they are hatched”

The saying goes as that but honestly, I can’t wait to count them!

You see,
egg1 led to chicken1
egg2 led to chicken2
egg3 led to chicken3

Although egg4 was not designed by us, there was chicken4 nevertheless.

So now that I’m preparing egg5, I seriously, honestly hope that there would be chicken5. No matter if it’s the Big Black kampung chicken or whatever breed, something is better than nothing. And if it’s the BB kampung chicken, I certainly hope it would be “Finger Lickin’ Good”.

Puzzled? It’s ok.. It’s meant to be so.. Haha.. Pray for chicken5 and maybe I will reveal the answer..

Boy do I hate Bandwidth. Even outsourced ones face Bandwidth problems? So should I be glad (with the high traffic volume) or what?

Truth hurts?

Always thought truth hurts only when it is not readily shared; and that they actually could prevent possible hurt. Isn’t that the beauty of truths?

Yet then again, each of us have our fair share of hidden truths; did we choose to hide them because they are hurting/ugly or did they become hurting/ugly because we chose to hide them?

Nah, just being random. But I am curious about everyone’s take on truths.

And “Titles” are still such a bother.

Yea.. There’s no audience, no viewers nor readers around, but that doesn’t stop me from posting because I didn’t stop breathing, I didn’t stop feeling, my heart didn’t stop pumping and my passion didn’t stop burning.

I’m still undecided about letting this blog be known; for one I’m still unsure about its positioning; secondly, just how “known” should be deemed as appropriate; and finally, how do I achieve a balance between having a public blog but not seeming as though I am attracting attention?

It can be an art to maintain a blog that has no reader, at least that’s absolutely true for someone who never had a diary surviving for more than 3 days. Amazingly, this blog survived 4!
