Don’t move the Snail.

Yes, I hate people who move the snails, especially those who thought they are helping the snails by doing so.

Imagine this snail spending 5hours to reach its current point, just because it decided to spend 5minutes to turn around for a last look, you thought it was heading to that direction (to where it moved out from) and decided to give it a hand. Tadah! 5hours of hardwork gone in a minute of your time, with the snail having to work for another 5hours again.

What makes you so sure that people needs a helping hand even when no one is requesting so? This world doesn’t need a saviour, this world needs a population that can help themselves.

I’m not asking anyone to be less considerate, but the next time you wish to be considerate, shouldn’t you try to understand and find out more, before doing things that you thought would be considerate but in actual fact it’s not?

    this reminds me on trying not jump into conclusions or try to assume things.

    when you assume you know what the other party (snail, fish or any other organisms) wants, and you try to help, it may not be 越帮越忙. More hinderance than help.

    btw, it seems that u are rather philosophical…

    blog more on such stuff, i love it, it’s very meaningful. it makes me pause and ponder. I never really put myself in the shoes of snail, i always assume it needs to get out of people’s path, in case someone accidentally kicks in. ohwell.

    :O I have never ever thought of moving a snail in my whole life! The most that I have done was to stare at it for a minute or two to ensure that it was indeed safe on its journey (for that 2 minutes). I always reckon it would know where it’s heading towards.. Haha..

    There’s such thing as its shell? I don’t fancy the idea of being moved without approval/knowledge, and I definitely don’t like the idea of moving it simply because we are “bigger”. It would be scary for the snail isn’t it?

    Anyway there’s no need to look far, it just have to set sight of its next “step” and then the next and so on to move on. A long journey is after all, made up of many small ones :)

    So, it is about everything under the sun, but providing ur theory using logic (which hence uses maths or otherwise)
