Following the airing of AIDS awareness drama series \u00e2\u20ac\u201c \u00e2\u20ac\u0153By My Side\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (Starring Rui En), RBKD realised that AIDS awareness in the community remains relatively low.<\/p>\n
So in January 2009, RBKD managed to contact the Youth Community Outreach Department of HPB (Health Promotion Board), who offered to help us coordinate a site visit to PCC (Patient Care Centre).<\/p>\n
At the PCC, not only were we briefed about their operations and objectives, we also had the chance to better understand their facilities.<\/p>\n
But the most rewarding part of our visit was the sharing session we had with the two Medical Social Workers who work closely with the AIDS patients themselves. They shared with us real-life stories and experiences that we never would have thought would happen in real life.<\/p>\n
After the 2 hours visit, we walked out of the centre being more aware, and feeling more confident in being little ambassadors for AIDS awareness ourselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
