SINGAPORE -The recent chatter about Mediacorp actress Rui En has moved on from her allegedly sulky demeanour to her new curves.

Looking rather rotund at a recent press conference, she let on that she has put on 4kg for a new role as an “auntie”.

The new Channel 8 drama (If Only I Could) will see her put on a fat suit, Rui En told reporters last week.

She found that with the fat suit, her face and limbs were too slim, which looked unconvincing, Lianhe Wanbao reported.

Her recent roles have seen her portray Singapore artist Georgette Chen in a docudrama, and an actress who becomes disfigured in The Dream Makers 2.

Gaining, or losing, weight for a role is often seen as a sign of commitment for actors, and can be a boost for their careers.

瑞恩的形象向来酷酷的，今年红星大奖的“黑脸”事件更掀起一阵风波，但周崇庆和她合作过后，却觉得她的个性并非外界所认为的那样难相处。

他日前在《志在四方2》记者会受访，被问到和瑞恩合作时说：“我跟她好到要命！她就是个傻大姐，很爱笑。（那为何大家常看到她黑脸?）我猜可能她曾经受过伤害，不然不会这样的。我以前也误解过她。”

周崇庆说：“这个女生的心胸是放得开的，但可能她觉得不用对每个人都这样。”

（吉隆坡讯）欧萱、戚玉武及瑞恩看淡奖项，对《志在四方2》能否再次入围《红星大奖》很是平常心，认为奖项多寡并不太会影响他们的演出素质。

新加坡电视剧《志在四方》好评又有好成绩，《红星大奖2014》获得21项提名，最终拿下9个奖项非常风光。续集《志在四方2》延续上集剧情，但新人物和曲折情节更添话题，主要演员欧萱、戚玉武及瑞恩接受马来西亚媒体访问时，被问道上集成绩如此好，会不会期望入围哪个奖项，但3人异口同声表示不会想那么多，戚玉武觉得追逐奖项没意思，当中取得多寡都不会影响演出素质，瑞恩亦认为有很多因素去决定奖项由谁拿，所以不会太关注奖项的问题。

而刚当爸不久的戚玉武提及女儿就打开话框子，还透露在拍摄《志在四方2》时女儿刚出世，演出心态和以往有些不同，“我一说到她就很开心，也不知道为什么。（会不会阻止女儿进入演艺圈？）如果她喜欢我会支持，但我更希望她长大后能往艺术方面，像是画画和舞蹈这类多下功夫。”而老婆白薇秀也没退下，为亲子节目当主持，虽然工作很忙，但目前没意思要请保母，两夫妻谈好时间分担照顾女儿。

而瑞恩饰演的方彤琳依旧活泼却开始需要面对婚姻，戏中更有反客为主下跪向戚玉武饰演的Jason求婚戏码，虽然很惊喜，但瑞恩却表示现实中的自己并不会那么做，笑言自己还是很传统，求婚还是交给男方做比较好。

《志在四方2》将从12月4日起，每逢星期一至五，于Astro双星（频道324）和双星HD（频道307）播出。
