Straws.

Recall that 8Days Earth issue with Rui En gracing the cover? One tip I learnt from that issue (not from her cover interview though) was to minimise the use of straws.

Although I didn’t like the attitude of that whoever-whose-name-I-had-forgotten, he made a valid point. Unless we are kids who cant drink from the cup, we could make do without the straws.

Lets see it this way, a straw per week = 52straws per year. That is 208 straws per 4pp household per year, or 20800 straws per 100units HDB block per year. Imagine how much we could save. Someone reminded me, “what about the lid?” Good point!

So if you could, would you refrain from using straws? It’s not too much isnt it?
