Can Rui En win Best Actress again?
The annual Star Awards has officially arrived once more, with the release of the Star Awards 2012 nominee list on Thursday.
Singapore actress Rui En, who was named Best Actress at last year’s Star Awards, has received her second Star Awards Best Actress nomination this year, for playing a spoilt ‘princess’ in the popular drama “A Tale of 2 Cities”.
However, she will have to beat some really tough competition to bring home the trophy this time round – MediaCorp veterans Zoe Tay (“Devotion), Fann Wong (“On The Fringe”) and Ann Kok (“Bountiful Blessings) have also been nominated for the award, along with Rui En’s “A Tale of 2 Cities” co-star Joanne Peh, who was nominated for her performance as a materialistic maneater in the show.

Greetings and salutations, fellow stargazers! It’s that time of the year again, when visions of trophies dance in stars’ heads. Yes, Star Awards season approacheth! The nominations for 2012 were announced this morning, and our nominees are, for the most part, still trying to take it all in.

The feisty Ann Kok, with her triumphant “I’m Back!” said on stage last year, is well and truly here to stay! She is nominated for Best Actress for her role as the evil spirit Pin Hong in Bountiful Blessings. While no stranger to Best Actress nominations, but she has never actually won this award before! She is the only ‘Best Actress’ virgin this year, will she manage to pop her cherry in 2012?
With number 3 nominated, how can we miss out No1 and No2! The powerhouses of Caldecott are both nominated this year, Fann for On The Fringe, and Zoe for Devotion.
Completing the Best Actress nomi list are Rui En and Joanne Peh, both nominated for their charming performance in A Tale of 2 Cities.

《红星大奖2012》入围名单今早公布，两大阿姐郑惠玉范文芳回归战局，争夺视后宝座，5名视帝竞争者则势均力敌，届时必定有场厮杀！
今年的《红星大奖》将于4月22日和29日举行，各大奖项入围名单今早出炉！
“最佳女主角”奖项中，本地两大阿姐郑惠玉和范文芳去年各有代表作，也受到评审的亲睐，分别以《阿娣》和《边缘父子》双双入围。
白薇秀和瑞恩在《乐在双城》里是好友，戏外却是名副其实的竞争对手，与两阿姐争夺视后殊荣。瑞恩去年热门胜出，在《乐在双城》饰演娇娇女，再次突破框框，今年要蝉联并非不可能。

Caldecott Hill’s princesses Rui En and Joanne Peh go head-to-head in Best Actress nominations for their roles in Channel 8 drama ‘A Tale of 2 Cities’
This just in: Nominees of Star Awards 2012 unveiled.
Despite being touted as 2011′s year-end blockbuster, Ch8 drama A Song to Remember not only ended with dismal ratings, but also failed to bag any Best Actor or Best Actress nominations. On a brighter note, it garnered double nominations in the Best Supporting Actor category as well as one nomination each for Best Drama Serial and Best Theme Song categories.
Instead, the drama’s lead actress Joanne Peh got nominated for Best Actress for her role in A Tale of 2 Cities, going up against last year’s Best Actress winner Rui En, who also got nominated for her role in the same drama.
This year, the pair will have to vie for the award with Caldecott Hill’s Ah Jies Zoe Tay, Fann Wong and Ann Kok, who are nominated for their roles in Devotion, On the Fringe and Bountiful Blessings respectively.

今年《红星大奖》是双阿哥、双公主争视帝视后，两阿姐郑惠玉和范文芳或沦为陪跑。
年度电视颁奖典礼《红星大奖》入围名单，明天公布。
而视后之战，在欧萱去年没有作品之下，成了白薇秀与瑞恩双公主之争。白薇秀打着《乐在双城》的“败金女”旗帜，被看好会是“削弱”瑞恩蝉联视后胜算的劲敌。瑞恩今年有《边缘父子》和《正义武馆》，得分是必然的。
可是，两阿姐郑惠玉和范文芳，虽然前者有《阿娣》，后者有《边缘父子》，却被认为突围乏力，最终或沦为陪跑。

20集的《995》是监制赖丽婷的告别作。50岁的她决定退下来，回家相夫教子。她入行27年，从助导做起，当监制不过几年，但她笑说：“我不退，新人怎么上来？”
赖丽婷的首部监制作品是《乒乓圆》，最满意的是《麻婆斗妇》和《走进走出》，但她说最享受的还是当导演的时候，她导过的剧集有《真相》《最高点》和《黄金路》。
记者问赖丽婷对于目前新传媒的戏剧制作环境与制度有何建议，她形容过去的工作“精彩”：“有酸甜苦辣，这就是人生。”赖丽婷说以前给家人的时间太少，所以决定回归家庭，会否重作冯妇现在言之过早。

看《乐在双城》的第一个感觉是它有一点《Sex and The City》的影子。
两大视后瑞恩和白薇秀也带来惊喜。个性大咧咧的瑞恩，穿起裙子高跟鞋，是一名拥有“公主病”的千金小姐。瑞恩与朱咪咪之间的火花也让人意想不到。
